Please do the following:

  • Install DirectX 9.0c (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=35).
  • Install .NET 3.5 (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=25150).
  • Install .NET 4.0 (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=17851).
  • Install the latest Nvidia drivers (http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-winvista-64bit-275.33-whql-driver.html)--perform a Custom Clean Installation if possible.
  • Run Windows Update (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/) and install all the important and optional updates.
  • Restart the computer.

Make sure your Nvidia settings are as follows. It resolved my issues without updating the drivers. Good luck!

Nvidia Control Panel > Advanced > Manage 3D settings
> Anisotropic filtering = Application controlled
> Antialiasing - Setting = Application controlled
> Vertical sync = Force on

So, did any of this fix your issue or did it not really matter? Love people who need a quick fix but then do not follow up in their own threads.

So this helped me figure out why mine would not work. I had recently just upgraded to windows 7 from Vista. When i went to the control panel to find the Nvidia control panel, it wasn't there. I figured i didn't have the driver installed so i downloaded the correct one for my card, restarted my computer, and league of legends started right up.

Hope this helps someone...

@Wrenchman Golin

I downloaded the first three links that you suggested and when i got to the nvidia part, it said it could not find a compatible graphics driver.

I am currently running windows on my mac and was not told that this was going to happen. Can anyone helpe me out?

Shoot. That is not what I wanted to hear. I am currently doing everything that @Wrenchman Golin has posted, and I guess I will see what happens.

Did you manage to figure anything out?
