It happens dude
Useually if nobody else is, its better to have a tank
I started off as DPS characters
Now im almost always tank, why?
I fill out what my team needs 9 times out of 10

If they need a good support, im it
DPS? I can do that too
Tank? You betcha
I play what my team needs

Now 99% of people dont play this way however
so basically if nobody else is picking a tank
well YOU might as well
and if 3 people switch to tanks,
well then go back to DPS

[p.s. once you know where everything is on the trees and what benefits what. I can respec in about 10 seconds, or less]

EDIT: BUT PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DONT PLAY A TANK YOU HAVE NO CLUE HOW TO PLAY. Practice a bit first :]

I play 90% solo q. I keep my masteries spec'd utility which doesn't really hurt any champ. If there is already a tank or two I play dps on someone who likes cd (udyr, nasus, twitch, etc.)
