I'm not sure what the lawsuit on MS entails, but it probably has to do with false advertisement (directly based on the pricing structure; only costs 2 more microsoft points... and the 500 more you have to buy) or is based on a related charge of collusion for price gouging, or based on the way they force developers to charge certain prices for certain things (no free X's, things have to be certain prices based on what you get, etc. etc.)

Just as a note, if it ever does get to court, there is no guarantee Microsoft's lawyers cant turn it into a win or that it will affect Riot in anyway.

Yes, it's a lawsuit, but more than likely it will be settled out of court. Microsoft's legal team would probably charge more to finish an entire trial, due to endless delays and arguments and motions and extensions, than it would take to just settle for a few million dollars without any admittance of wrongdoing, though in this case it's a bit less likely because that would still leave the terrible MS points system up.
