Why Lee Sin is a waste of IP/RP.

After working in a few games with him, I have discovered this....

The integral feature of Lee Sin is that all of his abilities require a double cast, however there are a few flaws with this.

1. Recast time.
- Often very sloppy and unresponsive.
- Energy Champs are generally very quick in game, gameplay style and APM.
- With the 1.5 or whatever second gap between recast, this essentially kills Lee Sin.

2. Lee Sin, The Half Assassin
- He constantly fails at doing his job, Q is far to slow not only to cast but also travelling.
- On top of which, it neglects to hit the target half the time.
- No Q hit = No output of damage.

3. Safeguard, there's nothing safe about it.
- All this does is protect you from 1 creep hits worth of damage.
- Re-cast allows him to gain spell vamp and lifesteal and some armour, however these are petty as by the time you have cast Iron Will, you will be at low energy and therefore Spell Vamp only about 80 health.

4. Dragon's Rage.
- Not only already a Pokemon move.
- This is so poorly thought out and synergized with Lee Sin.
- Neglects to work half the time as well.

5. His Innate.
- 2 50% faster hits that restore 10 energy each?
- Requires you to cast a 60 energy ability which does fark all-low damage.
- then 2 hits adds the 20 energy, plus abour 10-15 depending on your AS you have gained before you can re-cast for his full potential.

Lee Sin is a platypus, as in he was made from bits and pieces of other Champions in the making, The only synergy he really shows is his Innate, which can synergize with anything and Q+E, which to be used properly will put you at no energy, making the whole manoeuvre pointless.

Suggestions for Fix

- I say make ability not require energy for the re-cast, its bad enough that he has to dedicate half his energy pool to 1 ability, let alone have it deal less damage then other assassins.

- Remake Dragon's Rage, it is stupid, doesn't help any of his other abilities other then the fact that you can kick someone far away if they don't manage to clip a wall, perhaps follow the lines of all of his other abilities and grant him an epic combo cast ability.

Quote:
Dragon's Rage
- Lee Sin performs a tremendous kick against a single target, knocking it into the air.
- He can the re-cast this to follow it up with a leaping slam back to the ground dealing extra damage to units around his target, this is only available whilst his target is still in the air.
- Finally Lee Sin lands to the ground and can re-cast this once more to strike a target, sending them flying backwards in a targeted direction.
- More fun then a single kick.
- Monks tend to combo, R is not a fkn combo >.>
- Better then what it currently is and allows for more diverse game play decisions.

That is all....

he's been out for one day, give a couple of weeks for people to find the most appropriate playstyles/builds for him and then talk about changes. it's unfair to judge a champion so quickly considering everything you've said is purely subjective anyway

The guy who started this thread is obviously mad cuz he blew 6300/975 on a champ he cant get an easy win with.
Lee Sin was clearly a clever money-making strategy by Riot, they built anticipation for this champ by delaying him for so long (since beta) and people were so excited they saved IP or bought RP when they heard he was going to be released after-all.

Nearly 90% of the games I've played since his release someone played him, and probaly 50% of those had a skin.

I actually like Lee Sin. He's fun because of all of the things you can do with him. He's really interesting and I like all of his abilities. I liked Nocturne too but Nocturne was really powerful.
