Okay, old issues renewed.

The previous patch, as well as todays have created the same problem for me. I was able to successfully fix the first occurrence by simply uninstalling and reinstalling the game and patching again. Not so lucky this time around.

So here is how it goes. I boot the program following the patch being uploaded to the servers. I download the patch successfully. I then log into PvP.net successfully. I can join the queue with no issue and clear the 1 minute and 30 second champion select phase.

The PvP.net client then minimizes and the game begins to launch. The LoL icon appears mid-screen and then the game client crashes, populating a BugSplat error report. I cannot reconnect.

My first solo queue game today, I was able to uninstall and reinstall, patch and join the game some ~10 minutes in. Played the match successfully and won. I took a break and returned a few hours later(having to reboot the PvP.net client). I then attempted both a solo queue and practice game and both crash to the BugSplat report.

I cannot see myself repeating the same process over and over and would like to get to the bottom of this issue. Attatched are the logs I believe(though I am inexperienced) should assist in troubleshooting my problem.

I keep getting a

Client version 1.05.18 is rejected by server.


any help with this?


retried like 10 times. and got in. not sure if it will reoccur though.

C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\game\DATA\CFG\defaults\game.cfg
and
C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\game\DATA\CFG\game.cfg ?

Trial and error, as well as simple observation shows the config being read by the game, is the one outside of the defaults directory, Tho the one in the defaults directory contains a LOT more data. Yes i'm very curious, and my apologies for being a pain in the ass.
would still like to know why the files in the default folder, and if and when they are read from, as well as I noticed color settings in the game.cfg I was curious if that means I can change the colors used, It's not as if changing the colors used client side is cheating and or game breaking, I'm blue color blind, so perhaps having green, orange, etc would allow me to better differentiate some things.

i just installed the game today and when i open up the LoL launcher it says i cant connect to the server. and this is my logs.

I encountered a patch error where I'd get stuack at 80% over and over so I decided to uninstall and redownload the new client from the suggested location I found in this thread. I went to school, came back and now I have encountered the following error:

CRC error: The file C:/Riot Games League of Legends/air/assets/images/runes/52117efa.rra doesn't match the file in the setup's.cab file. The medium from which you are running the setup may be corrupted, contact your software vendor.


What does that mean? Any help would be great. I tried to follow the uninstall guide to delete everything. I'm not a tech type guy so I don't know computer tech lingo whatsoever and need Tech help for Idiots type walkthroughs to get things running. I'm not sure what I can do at this point. It's a real hassle since each attempted download effort takes near half a day to find out one way or the other if it's successful.

Hi all, same problem as most, "the launcher has encountered an error". Posted quite a lot last night but got no reply at that time.

I have tried re-installing (and re-patching from scratch), trying a different PC entirely (with a seperate copy of LoL even!), and I have never modified a thing in the LoL folder. I also attempted to disable all anti-virus and firewall apps.

My log is the complete re-patch after re-install
Also attached dxdiag. Thanks to any who can help.

Another thing to note that I noticed, was that if you leave the patcher open AFTER the error has occured, the patcher_lib.log continues to update. However, it is indefinite, it just repeats the same lines over and over again, as if it is stuck in a loop. Perhaps that can help?

A CRC error is basically a mismatch error, the file is not being seen as the correct file. The download must have had a hiccup somewhere and messed up a part of the file.

Dang, thanks for the input Phenie. I'm re-installing the second time now and if this encounters an issue I'm going to run the ccCleaner, restart my computer than attempt re-install #3. I downloaded all new windows updates today after the first attempt. I wish I found out about the hiccup before 6 hours of downloading the client. It finished 100% and then after that I found out about the CRC error, bah!

Thanks guys, I'll keep working on it as much as I can.
