Waiting to get out of queue after declining a game?

This is just a minor annoyance I recently (5 minutes ago) found out about that probably should, and easily could, be fixed.

As everybody knows, when you're in the queue for a game and Riot finds other people to play with, you then get a few seconds to either click "Accept" acknowledging you're ready for the game, or "Decline" indicating that you've changed your mind.

However, if for whatever reason you do decide not to play the game and click "Decline," you still have to wait the entire time until either everybody has either chosen one of the two options or the timer ends. I understand the importance of having the timer continue to root out potential AFKers, it is completely pointless to have the person who declined to play to still until the timer runs out. It's obvious they want/need to go do something else, and even though waiting a few extra seconds isn't that big of a deal, it's still surprisingly annoying to have to wait to quit out of League of Legends when something else comes up.
