Firstly, ELO, does not exist.

Now, with that out of the way those were the reasons for not displaying the Top 500 Elo list again. Which is fine, however these are also the very same reasons they've used, albeit with different wording, as to why they are not displaying your own private Elo to you.

However, the reasoning behind it is at the very basic level flawed, and without merit. That's not to say they can't do it, obviously, they're just completely wrong on their statements. Which is fine, better companies have been more wrong on more important issues. However, with such a strong base interested in seeing their Elo and Riot clearly stating there will be an "opt-out", the reasons are even further invalidated and less substantial than initially presented.

There's probably more people who don't or wouldn't care than do, thus making it a majority, which in society often swings the vote. FACT: the people complaining on the forums probably out number those people, because those people have no need to come on the forums an openly badger RIOT. Thanks for playing.

-Side note: If ELO was privately released you would see people posting their ELO's like merit badges everwhere, which would create the same effect they are avoiding.

I meant ELO will come into play when we get ranked.

And hold on here, what are you trying to say? Riot isn't making LoL as competitive as it should be? I'm not even following.

The gameplay isn't balanced yet, no draft mode, rune books/levels. no replays, no real spectator support outside of third party streaming, no real cash incentive tournaments and no ranked games...in it's current state the game is hardly a contender for "competitive game" at the moment, making your complaints less valid. Try again in a few months.

Having an ELO doesn't make this a competitive game...having a TEAM Elo would since its a TEAM game and any actual events would thus involve a TEAM.

Apparently you need definitions as well. Here, allow me to assist you since it seems to be such a chore to educate oneself with such a vast pool of information available at your fingertips.

People who do not, or would not care in the event of a vote, would not be counted thus bringing the majority to the players who would like to have a view of their private Elo. Simply because someone does not vote does not place that vote into the negative category, in case you were unaware. Thanks for playing.
