I've been reading lots of post and guides etc etc, new player trying to get into things.

I've noticed a theme where some players including senior posters and whatever other colored posters...will often refer to Champions by their name in DoTA?

I mean, not to be picky, but as a new player it is confusing to hear people talk about a champion by name and have me try to decipher who they're talking about via Abilities.

Cause I am playing LoL right...not DoTA....so shouldn't we refer to them by their LoL names?

They're not referring to them by their DoTA names, because there are no direct ports of heroes. They might be drawing an analogy, or just talking about that DoTA hero.

Have definitely not seen champions being referred to with DotA names.

I just assume its from DoTA. I mean, like I hear something about an Shadow Archer, or undead archer there is CM, spider queen...etc etc

And they were referring to Twitch, Twisted Fate, and Nidalee

I mean, are these like their alpha testing names? or concept names?

Spider queen is a LoL character that was never made. CM is Cardmaster. No idea about Shadow Archer, that's not in LoL or DotA

Shadow Archer? I have no clue what they are referring to.
CM = Card Master, which is Twisted Fates other name.
Spider queen? No clue again.

They're talking about the champion's title. Twisted Fate is technically "Twisted Fate, the Cardmaster." Likewise, it's "Twitch, the Plague Rat" and "Nidalee, the Beastial Huntress."
