Or at least stop it from spiking to really high numbers. Recently I've been suffering form terrible latency problems where my ping would jump from its usual 80 up to 500 and stay around there. I do play on a wireless connection and I haven't done anything that I think would affect my connection.

Any quick fixes you guys can share?

Try using Gamebooster. I use it and I find it helps.

i find that googling

OK!
Try switching to a line connection or buying a new modem. My friend had the same problems with his wireless until he switched to a new one.
