If you own a macbook and getting fps lag

download atmonitor/ istats/ smcfan control to check your temperature.

If it goes up above 150-180 fahrenheit, it is most likely a problem with not cleaning your fan. I have a late 2008 macbook (not pro) with an nvidia 9400m and have been getting 20 fps and below with temp going up to 180 while playing. After doing some research, I've learned you can clean your fan. Youtube it. All you need is a phillips 00 screwdriver. When opening up your macbook, make sure to also unscrew the screws around the fan so you can clean the underside of it.

I now play at 40-60 fps at around 120 fahrenheit. I can also now watch streams at high quality with league open up in the background.
