These are just numbers really; I don't have the time to format it. I just promised Lyte some data though over the weekend and never really got to it *cough*

Tribunal Case Data (Most recent as of 1/20/14)
==================
# of Cases: 34219 (starts from beginning of December)
==================
Only Summoner Rift Classic games were counted (Blind/Draft/Ranked)
Note these were the "worst" games that appeared in the Tribunal
==================
Games: 136586
Wins: 40565 / 136586 = 29.699%
Losses: 93861 / 136586 = 68.719%
Leaves: 2160 / 136586 = 1.581%
Blue: 65975 / 136586 = 48.303%
Purple: 70611 / 136586 = 51.697%
==================
**Purple side is 7.027% more likely to have a toxic player than Blue side
==================
**This is data taken assuming (hoping, really) that tribunal games are reflective of typical games (which they probably don't)
Average Match Length: 2072.876 seconds = 34 minutes 32.876 seconds
% Surrender @ 20 (< 21 minutes) = 11055 / 136586 = 8.094%
==================
Report Count
==================
Verbal Abuse: 66916 / 136586 = 48.992%
Negative Attitude: 32620 / 136586 = 23.882%
Offensive Language: 23468 / 136586 = 17.182%
Assisting Enemy Team: 10670 / 136586 = 7.812%
Spamming: 1749 / 136586 = 1.281%
Inappropriate Name: 1163 / 136586 = 0.851%

**Note that these values were collected using a "Most Common Report" stat part of each game and not by counting the actual number of each report (because I didn't have the proper access to that data; it's weird/hard to explain)

**Also note that four report types did not show up at all as a "Most Common Report": Intentional feeding, Unskilled player, No communication with team, and Leaving/AFK
==================
KDA Data
Offender's Average KDA: 6.64 / 7.23 / 6.73
Offender's Average Gold: 10793.67
Offender's Team's Average KDA: 28.69 / 35.06 / 36.90
Offender's Team's Average Gold: 52240.40
Offender's KDA %: 23.1% / 20.6% / 18.2%
Offender's Gold %: 20.7%
**This is the average KDA at the average match length of 34:33 from above

It looks like toxic players almost account for the expected 20% of a team's KDA and gold.
However, the above average kill % and the below average assist % suggest toxic players are more solo, kill-focused than average players. In doing so, they die more often but also garner more gold.

This is pretty neat Fang0r, but what are some new insights you could derive from the system metrics?

"Riot should color both sides of Summoner's Rift blue." is what I got from this.

I think that it is pretty obvious that either a ton of people who are carrying HARD a verbal abusers, and a ton of people go 0-10000, or, most people who rage really don't have any reason to. Clearly, most VA's aren't doing bad, but they aren't doing good wither. It is the mediocre calling the mediocre mediocre.

Thoughts- Focus anti VA statements on the fact that teams that have a VA don't start to lose until the person starts raging. Also its time to update the "People who verbal abuse or whatever lose 17% more games."

there's one thing that stands out, and that is the high percentage value of "verbal abuse" reports.

while that may be the case, i'm more than willing to bet that it is due in large part to the fact taht it is the "default" option for reporting.

i would suggest that you may get a lot less false reports and anger reports if you didn't have a default selection (i.e. you needed to access the scroll menu to actually select an offense before submitting your report)

Having metrics on how many reports didn't have comments would actually help a bit.
