Could we please stop with the gender shaming?

I've been gaming for a good portion of my life and usually find it better to remain anonymous in terms of gender simply because of all the hatred regarding girls. As experience as a staff for two different gaming communities I'm used to being critiqued on my looks quite often (something I don't understand at all.) If coming across my Facebook, the people in the gaming communities take it upon themselves to give me their opinion on my looks. Something most of them don't seem to understand is I don't want to hear it. Whether or not I am a beauty queen has nothing to do with the game I'm playing and it certainly doesn't phase me and just because you're saying something nice doesn't excuse the fact that you're going out of your way to judge my appearance.

I've been streaming for about a week (I'm not great; I stream to hang out with noobs like myself) and since starting I've noticed an overwhelming amount of people who hate on me because of my gender or my looks when those things are completely besides the point.

I can't go 10 minutes without someone coming on and saying something to the likes of "wow fat ***** ugly **** what are you doing on the internet? where are the boobs? *****."
Which is all fine and good but I was browsing through some people on twitch and came across a girl who's been streaming the exact same length of time I have. Not only does she have 1,000 followers (One week of streaming) but her breasts are out on blatant display, she openly plays on a Diamond account that someone GAVE her and she advertises herself with the simple pretense of being female. I thought these were all things looked down upon in the community, so I stayed for a little while to see if she gets the same kind of trolls I do. Absolutely nothing but "wow you're so beautiful".

I realize that this is the internet and I'm not whining about hurt feelings: I just want to understand. So from your point of view, I want to know why you guys think people harass girls simply for having a vag and treat the legitimate attention *****s like goddesses. Yes, it's so silly that to be successful in twitch you either need to be a pro or a pornstar, but why do you guys treat the pornstars with so much respect and then completely rag on the normal gamers who happen to have boobs (it's not their fault) with the excuse "Well it's your fault because all girls are attention *****s."?

TL;DR

Some of you guys feed the real attention *****s and then gender shame girls who haven't done anything. Why?

Bracing myself for the flood of hate I'm going to get.

So you copy and paste a thread to make yourself seem significant?

Don't mention something if you don't want it attacked.

Downvote this. Someone copied another poster's OP and is trying to pass if off on their own.

1. I personally think that the girls who "flaunt" themselves already have an established fan-base along with moderators to ban anyone who posts inappropriate/ rude material.

2. I've seen a few female streamers that have a small active fan base of 10 to 50 people that hardly ever receive any lewd comments.

3. Often there is something that makes a person stay to watch a stream. People who are Gold+ have an advantage as there are many people looking to learn more. Some people come for humor, for decisions spoken out, for the satisfaction of someone else raging. I think speaking while streaming is a fairly big part to streaming successfully.

So part of the process is actually getting viewers who come solely because of personality over other factors. Usually there will be those immature brats that come and trash talk, but they can always be muted/ banned.

(As a side note, typing in an angry tone often leads to less productive responses from others).
Yes, those are very valid points.
