Normals right now is pretty bad due to the season ending. So people from rank take normals as a play ground and troll. Riot won't address the issue but it happens after every season.

personally, I just go Normal Blind pick, instalok my champion, and only say things pertaining to map awareness, team, and objectives in game. If people try to flame, I just auto report at the end of the game without lashing out at them in game. People have to realize that if you want to be competetive or feel like you accomplished something, rank is the place to go. Normals are designed for people to have fun, play, queue with friends, and practice champions FOR ranked play.

The people that take normals way too seriously are people that are afraid of being labeled in ranked. They live in a paradox where they feel like they want to be recognized for their skill but don't want to be judged for it either.

This is precisely why I spent the last two months of the season getting to Diamond 4 instead of being content with diamond 5.

If you call your role in normals, most ppl respect that...

So there's your answer. CALL YOUR ROLE instead of waiting silently as if the entire cosmos and Riot servers line up to give you the role you want magically.
