Blackheart merely moved up a few steps as to stand out of the view of the guards while minimizing his very existence to a miniscule point. Even for those with the ability to sense souls and life-forces will notice nothing of the Necromancer unless he walks into their physical line of sight that is. The main reason why he did so was more because he felt a powerful mental strain coming from a room near him. Then surprise came to him when he sensed the souls of the high-ranked summoner and the woman from before whose very being seemed to be tainted with a evil beyond this world. He was right to send that warning, and the man was glad to have followed its message clear. The information gained from the shade which was overhearing the conversation only confirmed his suspicions. All of these powerful figures appearing in one area....all of this high-ranking officials along with the variety of beings thrown into Zaun. Not to mention the mysterious figures going around doing things in the festival as it goes on. For now he stood, listening in some more as the events unfold. Another thought crossed his mind...where in the hell was Pinky.

A curious fellow, a very curious fellow indeed. Pinky was a being that despite the dangers of doing so would explore everything from the vilest cave to the most inhospitable remote wildernesses of Runeterra. This could be seen at the festival as the blob scuttles around in a very low profile like a thin layer upon the ground. It had many other selves doing the same thing and by chance one saw a very strange looking man step out from an alleyway. Upon walking into it, the one creature saw a little girl laying on the ground. It reformed into a regular blob before standing by her, scanning for anything strange. A single molecule of the being popped off and entered through where the needle had been. This little bit would examine the bodily condition of the girl and would see if anything was off or not on a biological level. Meanwhile the larger blob scanned for any magical signatures on her. Meanwhile the rest continued to scour the whole city as secret watchers. Only Blackheart knew of its antics and revealed nothing to even his most trusted students.

The various shades and apprentices within the city were on high alert, even when enjoying the sights of the festival. Other shades began going around relaying information to the others through their vast network of intelligence, and it soon reach the Pinky guarding the necromancer's family, who also acquired info from its other selves. Sophia and Jane move through the seemingly wonderful festival, indulging in the fun activities unaware of the dangers present.

They didn't even take too much of a glance at Gortavil, in fact Gortavil has likely seen these patrolling summoners as he moved throughout Zaun. What the three were most interested in were the two corpses, as they began gathering information using scrying magic. One of the summoners came over to Gortavil-

"From the looks of it dragon, you are likely on the mark with concerns to my deceased colleagues, our magic is actually finding drained life from these men. Considering there are no wounds, we are dealing with an indirect manner of life drain, and that is only under a single school of magic, Necromancy."

"I doubt the Deathsinger would arbitrary kill Summoners on a whim, at least not in secret like this. And considering the facts that their lives were drained hours ago, yet they were still talking and breathing not even an hour ago...either they were reanimated or they were drained to the point of near-death yet they said nothing."

The silver summoner is thinking, but then looks to Gortavil-

"I doubt they were reanimated, which means they must have been drained but not said a word about it. What would prevent them from saying anything for hours?"
Gortavil looks at the new arrivals, although he doesn't bother moving as the higher ranked summoners inspect the corpses of their friends. Some of them he recognizes, although mostly by scent, since he doesn't really see that much difference between humans, especially if they're all clothed the same. As response to the summoners first remark Gortavil only snorts. The idea that the lich wouldn't kill mages secretly isn't very surprising either, considering how strange liches can be.

"If they were incapable of saying that they were being drained of life you would need somebody who can use both necromancy and another magic type, since you can only do that kind of thing with Necromancy if you're targeting something dead, and you're assuming they weren't killed and reanimated. And since there are no real signs of a fight around here the killer is either so strong your friends had no chance of defending themselves, the killer is also good at not being detected before the actual attack, or your friends were attacked by somebody they trusted. Strong Necromancy, can control what others say and do for a couple of hours, and is either really strong, good at not being detected, or somebody you wouldn't suspect to be an enemy. As for what can prevent them from talking about being killed like this, most common is to use a curse that binds their tongue. Or you can invade their mind and create bindings in there, or you make them think in a way that would prevent them from saying anything, like threatening to inflict severe harm upon things they care about if they report their own death. Don't know these two, but that's a method, and also a very cruel and effective one, since it doesn't require you to do anything to them you could detect later on."

(This was the man who gave me one of the best rps I've ever done, and one of the very few that actually finished.

-Pinky salutes him-
