That % missing health thing is a big buff. Her allin with flash R -> WQ is going to hurt much more. It will also be better in teamfights in AoE comps this way.

It's probably not enough to make her competitive, but it's good, so no complaining!

OPINION STARTING

I personally think it'll help address both her hard issues with farming at team stage/late game (everyone else can burst farm, she cannot easily without wasting Q for one minion) as well as it makes you more of a chunk poke damage if you Q someone for harass then drop a W, etc.

I agree. Not to mention the MR shred had zero satisfaction, and often went forgotten to 'non-morg' players.

But the math says that the enemy needs to miss around 1780 HP for the new version to deal as much dmg as the old one (used 100 MR, a 20 MR reduction on the old one and 300 AP).
Minions have less MR so the MR reduction works even better against them what would leed to more than 2k missing HP needed and the more higher the AP the higher the needed missing HP to deal as much dmg as before.

=> Straight nerf in the current form.


But I have tested her on the PBE and the skill seems to work different.
The tooltip says at rank 1, 10 dmg +3% every second, but the base dmg is only 50% of the mentioned one and gets applied every 0.5 sec.

So if you would say 3% missing HP every 0.5 sec, it could work but i would not like it to scale that hard of missing HP.


But at rank 3 a ranged minion wave survives with 40 HP, and that is a devastating nerf to Morgana.

Increase the AA range to 450 and increase her AS to 0.625 + 1.5%/lvl.

And remember that the best case scenario in which morgana will hit one or even 2 parts of her ult while the enemy stands in her W binded by Q.
The change reduces her kill potential, AP scaling, farming and DPS for gaining a bit of extra dmg when the enemy is already nearly dead.
And at the same time it reduces her utility that she had in double AP comps. And there is so much magic dmg in the game that even jungle ganks will do less dmg or maybe a Tristana with her burst comp.


And % missing HP scaling on morgana also doesn't feel right.
Changing the ticks to apply every 0.5 sec is the only good thing i see here.

Give her the old base dmg back and instead of the MR reduction put in the missing HP thing.
Compensate the AP scaling with an increase to 0.22 AP every sec cause she loses normally at least 10% dmg if not more through the missing MR reduction.

Maybe that can work.




Morganas main problem is hr laning phase. It is not a bad laning phase, but she can not push, she has her W and AA to farm and that needs time. So she can't shove lanes into the enemy tower fast enough if they get roaming. She is safe, but she can not trade well as long as minions are there cause it will be very hard to hit the Q.
That means she can not push the enemy out of lane or shove the lane when needed, while the enemy can pressure and harass her at the first lvls without much counter play involved.

In later fights her problem is a missed Q. if she misses the enemy may go in and her main single target dmg and CC tool is on CD for some sec. But that is a weakness you can overcome due to positioning or Ult + Zhonyas.



But Morgana is pretty safe in the lane. It is hard to catch and kill her.

So maybe nerf Black Shield.
3/3.5/4/4.5/5 sec duration (-2 sec duration at rank 1)
90/155/220/285/350 + 0.7 (-5 absorption)
60 mana costs (+5 mana costs)
22/20/18/16/14 sec CD (-1 sec CD)

The bit lower absorption and the lower duration would mean that morgana has less of a free CC immunity time. She now needs to activate it better timed.

And now you could buff Morganas laning phase. Cause being aggressive and trying to kill the enemy can put her into danger.


I am glad that Riot finally tries to work on Morgana, but an untested (and not even calculated) nerf does only show that nobody at Riot actually cares about her to take the time and think it through.
And at the same time nothing about fixing her ult. Had a ARAM some days ago where the enemy went into a brush i stood right next to with around 50 HP left and my ult on him. He came out alive (no shields or healing) right after the other enemies were stunned. Ult didn't work again.
Or the bug where the leash comes out and breaks instantly again, cause the enemy needs to stand in the 600 cast range for nearly a full second for the ult to work right.
Why not fix the bugs that she has for over a year now?
