Why does Matchmaking try to put you at 50/50 anyway?

What's the point? What is the PURPOSE of trying to even out our wins/losses to 50/50.

When you play a game, you want to win. It's stupid to work hard to win a game just to know that the system wants you to lose the next game. If you are up 100 wins / 75 losses it's just not fun getting stomped 25 games in a row before MM has mercy on you again.

If you are good enough at a game, you deserve to have more wins/losses. But no matter how good you are, you can't carry a team of 4 feeders against 5 pros.

INSTEAD of pitting winning players against a team that was manipulated to defeat them, have matchmaking put you with people your skill level on both teams. For example if you have 100w/75l, put 4 more people with a similar win/lose ratio on your team and 5 people with a similar ratio on the other team. This ensures that both teams are competent and equally matched. Less people will complain of feeders and such. And ultimately, better players will have higher win/lose but they will still be able to player equally opponents.

50/50 matchmaking is stupid anyway. It is completely unfair for the system to seed better players with **** players and force them into losing.

Because people play to win and riot makes sure they get that experience so they keep coming back. Same thing goes for a casino and just like a casino the house is really the only sure winner.

The elo system doesn't try to put you at a 50/50 win ratio. It tries to put you against players of a similar sill level, which results in a 50/50 win ratio. It isn't intentionally pairing you up with worse players. It is pairing you up with players that, according to the data it has, are around your skill level, against people who are around your skill level.

they try to match make it for a 50/50 so you are a common factor to improving your elo and not your teammates, so if you dont improve you will stay around that elo because you will be winning 50%

It doesn't. It tries to give you a 50/50 chance of winning each individual game.

Very different

idk how it works but it seems like when you win a few the game puts you with people who have just lost a few
