"Ah well, its nothing really that troublesome, but if you wish you can take care of it." Charité said in a nonchalant voice. It was becoming obvious, her grammar was heavily based on her. "Its become blatantly obvious to me that we are being followed, one is disguised as a sailor and he should be fine left alone. The other is a beggar sent by one of my voyagers." Said the captain as she stood up and yawned tiredly. It was very obvious that the young girl was getting used to her escort, even though he was only around her for a short while now. With a flick on her head and a wink of her eye, she gave a well known smile.

"And have a bit of fun won't you?" As she tossed a chocolate covered strawberry at the undead figure. Suddenly, a firework show symbolizing the Ionian victory set off, followed by traditional music. "My goodness, look at that!" Exclaimed Charité as she leaned over the rails, her hat nearly falling off of her head. "Ye know, it'd be terrible if something were to ruin this event. So why don't ye just sit here and enjoy it." she said as she pulled up a chair for the figure to sit in. "But please, once we get back a'sea; keep an eye on those who be wantin' t' cause trouble mate."

With that said, the dear captain simply sat down and enjoyed the show, twirling a lock of her hair lazily around her finger.

"Very well. Your word is my command. Captain." He acknoledged and took a seat besides her. "I shall TRY to enjoy this, though it be more of my interest to neutralize your stalkers." He mentioned as he noted the fire works and the festivities. It seemed that Ionia had been quite victorious. Interesting, it seemed Noxus had underestimated them.

"Hey, that reminds me" With a shine in her eye, Charité pulles something out from underneath her chair, a heavy, slightly dusty, book with various legends regarding the sea and dropped it in her companion's lap. "This morning, I noticed you were reading that book so I decided to get you one that'd be a bit useful for you on the ship." With a smile and a glance at her companion;

"Ye know almost every legend of the sea has backing."

The beggar Liliana hired listened intently to the captain and her bodyguard's discussion. The girl had realised he had been following them. As the fireworks started, he made his escape, working his way through the croud of distracted onlookers. The only time he saw the fireworks was when he turned around to check if he was being followed through the croud.

~Main street~

Liliana sighed as the fireworks started. The noise of the croud could only mean one thing. Ionia had won their match. She could already feel the headache setting in as she worked her way through the front door of the shop infront of her.

The walls and shelves were lined with various produce and preserves, the fireworks reflecting off of the jars. The man watching the store was in the back, celebrating with his family. Chuckling to herself, Liliana pocketed no less than seven jars of strawberry preserve, taking an additional one in hand and bringing it up to the counter, ringing the bell dangling next to the counter. While the store owner worked his way up to the counter, Liliana put several coins next to the jar, the cost of two jars instead of one. A fake smile sat on her face.

An man, perhaps in his fourties came out. A wide smile sat on his face as he walked, a clear spring in his step. Looking at the small pile of coins, he smiled, scooping up just the cost. Liliana frowned, pushing the rest of the coins towards him.

"Take them, it's a time to celebrate, isn't it?" She said, her voice even sweeter and more innocent than usual. "You know... you have a really nice shop here..."

"Thanks miss, I've been waiting for this day for seven years." The man smiled, scooping up the rest of the coins and putting them into his pocket. Liliana giggled happily as he spoke. The man was probably so happy that he wasn't thinking straight.

"I could buy this shop off of you... you'd still run it and everything, but I'm sure I could get you more goods and advertising." She giggled happily. "I took the liberty of sampling some of your strawberry preserve... delicious. And I'm sure your family isn't doing as well as it could what with the noxian occupation having taken such a toll.". Producing a sack of coins, Liliana placed it on the table. "So, do we have a deal?"

The man's eyes lit up even more at the mention of this and the sight of the coin bag. His head nodded rapidly as he turned, heading into the back and announcing it to his family. The sounds of a joyous family filled the shop as he came out with the deed to the land, giving it to Liliana. Shaking the man's hand, she turned, walking out of the shop. A smug smirk forming on her face the moment the man couldn't see it. She knew exactly how to profit off of this shop.

The Zaunite noted that she considered him. Interesting, a book of mythology. He had prepared something in this event, he conjured a portal, a small one and through it he pulled out fruit basket. It contained a variety of exotic and ones she was suppose to have been accustomed to. According to the information he had been given, she would be thrilled.

"I understand these were on your liking." He mentioned to her and continued to watch the display. The portal closed before anything got through. "The book is appreciated." He added.

With that ever persistant smile on her face, Charité gave a slight hug to the undead figure, seemingly unaffected by its state in her joy. "Oh why thank you Mr. Mac!" Quickly, the young captain began to taste the assortment of fruit in the basket, enjoying it ever so. To her suprise, there was even fruit that shes never seen before. "Hey Mac, may I ask you a question mate?" Charité said with a slightly serious tone to it.

"Why exactly did my o' Cap'n send you to me?" She knew that her former captain Gangplank was fully aware that Charité could handle herself, and for that reason it bothered her that she was sent this protection, as if the captain thought something unfortunate was going to happen to her. Slightly concerned, she tried to distract herself by watching the fireworks, noticing how oddly familiar these looked to a time when the cannons were used by a zaunite before, who put a certain powder into the cannons causing them to fire equally colorful explosions.

Without hesitation, she hugged him. It was awkward, to show any graditude towards him was something he was not used to. He acted unphased. He nodded when she asked if she could ask a question. It was one of approval. She asked the same question she asked when he first arrived.

"It is not of concern and is not of importance to my mission." He responded unphased by the gift. "But if it puts your mind to rest. It is simple insurance. Like a tool, you are more valuable if you are undamaged." He made the cold analogy. "And these are turbulent times."

As the young captain sat back in her seat, she was perfectly fine with being told that, it simply ment that he was dead set in his job. She saw this as a good thing, as there may come a time in which she needs this help. "Well thank you for putting my mind a rest Mac, and thank you for being so dead set into your job as well. I'm sure you'll keep me from harm if needs require it."

With a smile Charité spoke to herself in a sarcastic tone " I'm suprised I haven't had an unwanted visitor yet, but I s'pose that isn't anything to be unhappy with some peace and quiet for once." The captain pulled up another chair and rested her feet on it, still amazed with the brilliance the Ionian fireworks provided.

~Just outside the stadium~

Pern stomped angrily out of the viewing stadium. The match was a joke.

I cannot believe Noxus lost to Empress Kharma's dogs.

The liege could not find himself enjoying any of the festivities. The entire affair left a bad taste in his mouth. He clamored back to the docks and sat upon a coil of rope, visibly agitated. He watched from the distance as the Ionian's celebrated their victory with dancing and cheering. He had to admit, he held nothing against most Ionian's as a whole, and they deserved to celebrate freedom.

He let his memories drift, thinking back to when Freljord was able to become a nation. He was there to congratulate the people. The barbarian's had always had a good relationship with the order, even aiding each other in battles. He recalled a poem they used to sing when Noxus had attacked the Northerners.

Softly at first, Pern sang,

"The wage of war will glow tonight,
For this day we stand and fight,
Grab your axe and your shield,
But the warrior's heart you must wield.
For this sun and every battlefield.

The blood will lay across the land,
Lives lost greater than Shurima's sand,
Though we lay to die with our honor,
Our souls will continue to fight with ardor,
My passion is my eternal armor.

The cry for freedom bring us to our feet,
So it is to arms that we will meet,
My strength has yet to fade,
We will fight for our homes we've made,
Against these men who choose to invade.
"

~Main Street~

Deadeye was lost...again. Even though he was supposed to follow Charite he got distracted by a vendor selling some souveneirs commemorated to the battle between Ionian and Noxus, which he missed. Then he wandered even more and saw the little blood demon checking into an inn. Since he had no intention of following her the rest of the night, he set out and somehow ended up at the League's branch building in Ionia. Only staying around long enough to talk to Kassadin (why was he here?) he eventually found his way back to the Main Street of Ionia.

It was there he saw the double-crossing Noxian Lili busy manipulating some poor owner of a jam shop. No doubt she also got a little hired help from the seedier part of town (west of here?) and was dead set on following her...until he took a wrong turn and ended up at the docks. Which made no sense since he moved in a straight line the entire time. Lacking the will to go back to town he spotted the undead warrior Pern and sat beside him.

"Oy, you all right mate?" Deadeye asked in a completely different tone than he used the first time he spoke to the knight. "It be a right time to celebrate 'mongst your friends what will all the fireworks and stuff."
