The dilemma Corvus found himself in was a much easier than the one earlier. This time, he could just wait for the combat mechs and the monsters to kill each other, as time was no longer an issue to him.

Vorreth, not necessarily hurt by the kinetic beam due to his own shield, and due to his body being extremely resistant to physical damage, still realized that the battle is lost for him, and decided to retreat. Given that there were not only multiple powerful artifacts but also Errax in the place he wanted to teleport to, he could just do it instantly - but would not be able to return.
He quickly opened several small portals around the entire room, on the walls, roof, floor - almost everywhere, and those started churning out the spiders as well - and they started rushing towards the nearest person almost instantly.

After that, he decided for one quick leaving gift, and created extremely thick, gray, poisonous smoke, hoping to create a distraction so that the spiders will have an option to do damage.
Finishing that, he vanished in a small fiery explosion.

So when another spasm attack passed he made sure he won't lose this precious connection with Tabula he had. And he did so in quite the right moment as while the spasms so far were composed only of contractions of flexors, making it impossible to let go of Tabula, what followed next was of the opposite kind. It wasn't a spasm, instead Raseri lost all of his muscle tone and thus lost control over his body, resulting in him letting go of Tabula as well as losing the ability to breathe. Fortunately by this time he already had this possibility covered or at least the part of losing Tabula, but it was unlikely of him to not be able to deal with the breathing. However his current state wasn't subsiding as opposed to the spasms. It seems he'll truly have to wait out the effects of the fumes while trying to avoid any further intoxication that would prolong the effects.

However that might not be Raseri's most pressing concern as the explosion even further damage the by now already compromised structural integrity of the corridor. The blast blew all of the molten metal away, revealing the naked stone and concrete surrounding the metal halls. This also allowed him to see as the rock was crumbling down, indicating that the roof fall is imminent. This concerned very large portion of the corridors surrounding his location.
It seems Raseri would need some training with Tabula to master the potential of the attack amplified by her, but in these scenarios that was no concern of his.
Raseri would have made some sound of surprise at the new development, if that exact same development didn't steal his ability to speak. He still hangs in the air, unmoving as he tries to find a way to deal with this, when a solution seems to appear without his interference.

This isn't the first time Raseri got afflicted with something that he couldn't directly live through, and which didn't destroy his body as much as shut it down. It seems that whatever transformed him wasn't intending to let him die by something as simple as toxic. In cases like this Raseri's body usually goes inactive while Raseri's energy absorption somehow keeps him from actually dying, waiting for whatever shut down his body to disappear before restarting everything. It usually takes a while, and Raseri is completely defenceless in that state, but it does mean that Raseri is capable of surviving those subtle but deadly attacks that really powerful mages sometimes possess.
Those mages then make the mistake of trying to get rid of Raseri by blasting him with more magic while he's down. And while Raseri's natural energy absorption only keeps him from dying initially, doing something like giving him lots of energy to absorb allows Raseri to recover a lot faster.

And this time Raseri isn't just getting large amounts of energy, but a large constant stream of it, thanks to Tabula. Now that he possesses more energy than he remembers having in a long time Raseri's body doesn't so much recover as brute force its way through the problem. While the fumes are such that his energy can't directly remove them, his energy can get rid of the effects by taking direct control over Raseri's body, overriding the lack of muscle control, Raseri regaining his ability to use his body.

He lands on the ground as he looks around, his eyes glowing from the raw amount of energy coursing through him. This isn't returning back to life, but he certainly isn't dead, and in contrast to undead, Raseri's energy is making sure that as soon as the fumes are weakened or gone Raseri gets restored to his full self.

"Tsk. What a pain."

Raseri's gaze falls upon where the colossus was. Normally he'd be glad that the creature seems to have been erased, but he has seen how it absorbed the other experiments, and thus decides to make sure that it won't return later on. He moves towards the explosion area, his wind barrier still surrounding him while he makes his remaining iron desert storm elementals follow him. He no longer has to worry about the fumes, since they've done all they could, and he has countered their effects almost completely, or rather, his unique condition has.

Corvus watched the slaughter unfold before him as the two parties clashed. However the outcome wasn't one that he'd desire as he clearly saw the soldiers easily winning. Both through their numbers and the technology at their side. The lesser creatures fell down rather fast, leaving only the bigger experiments marching forwards to meet the swords of the Slashers. However even so they probably wouldn't accomplish much more than denting the combat suits. This meant Corvus' choice wasn't all that easy, because once they finish with the experiments Corvus is next in the line of fire.

As the toxic fumes finally reached its full impact, Raseri's body started working its wonders to keep him alive. However it didn't seem like the effects will disappear immediately despite getting rid of the fumes, so he'll have to bear with it a while longer. Being careful enough, Raseri chose to check if he truly destroyed the creature since he saw what it was capable of. And his natural paranoia would prove to be quite useful as he discovered the remnants of the beast as he went deeper into the side corridor. There for nothing for a long time in the direction of the epicentre, but eventually in far distance Raseri would be able see the biomatter previously forming the colossus dispersed across all the walls like a spread on a slice of bread. As the biomatter was slowly flowing down from the walls and ceiling, limbs started sprouting from the pools of melting flesh. It didn't seem the beast was reforming into its previous form as the pools were separating as new creatures started forming out of them. Unlike their brethren, if one could call it that way, these creatures were made haphazardly as they were growing into weird and hideous shapes, growing legs onto eyes, heads instead of legs, spikes for tongue and so on.
Raseri would find no challenge in destroying these pathetic creatures as they were barely capable of moving due to their own flawed design. Other than these, there were no more imminent enemies that needed to be killed. However if he desired blood he could always go further and potentially get lost in the complex's level while hunting down other creatures.

The man started channeling a spell but before he could releas it Vorreth chose to disappear. The following confusion left him distracted long enough for the spiders to actually get to him and kill him. However that was about as big of an impact his actions had on the complex as the other battle mages started quickly dealing with the situation.
Noticing the tons of tiny spiders coming out of the portals and flooding the rooms, another mage entered the room. However as the spiders came to him, they simply were flung away by some sort of magic shield tightly surrounding his body. He lifted up his arms as a sphere of fire surrounded him and quickly spread to fill the whole room, filling it with flames and heat, burning every spider to the last. As the shield protected him from the inferno, he sent several torrents of flame into the portals before his colleagues outside the room closed them. Once sure the room was purified, they walked away to prepare themselves to go and fight on the lower level.

Corvus took the time given to re-cast the Omen of Crows. Once finished, he would use his incredible agility and senses to simply avoid the combatants as he would make his way towards his current objective.

Within milliseconds, Phantom had brought to each hand a large rifle and with the shadows had the other five weapons armed and ready to shoot. Despite the larger build of these weapons, the warrior held them effortlessly before firing off all seven weapons in succession. However there were more things happening at the same time than just the firing of the weapons. Each individual bullet would be warped and placed centimeters from hitting an enemy's vital spot while the clips seemed to be limitless due to him shadow warping bullets from the other gunners into the weapons he was using. At the same time, Phantom evaded and dodged what attack would come his way as he proceeded to clear the enemy. Their defensive and tactical maneuvers were good but there were many things he can do to bypass them.

Konrad

Reacting in a flash, Konrad let loose a point blank Eldritch shock just as the woman's momentum had lifted him off the ground. At this range, it would not only rip apart her body but also shred her mind if it came into contact with her. Whether it hit or not she would start bleeding from her eyes, ears, and nose from being so close when he fired at her. Although it is only superficial, it would be disorientating and nauseating.

The woman's feet would broken or crushed, unless her bones were unnaturally tough, due to the force it would require to send a fully armored Konrad flying. His armor, in it's hardened state, cushioned the kick and his impact on the ground. Konrad tumbled backwards the moment he hit the ground to spread out the impact and quickly get into a fighting stance. He eyed the woman warily, if she survived that is.

After leaving the complex, Vorreth appeared in a well-decorated, large room. Errax was already waiting for him.

"Is it done, my lord?"

"No. Not at all. They have a lot more power than i thought.... i doubt that even releasing what i did there is going to do any real damage. I will have to inform Korr of this, so the attack will come down to his word. But let us forget that for now. The gate the summoner had will only allow one to come at a time... but i have a plan. Only thing that matters now....."

((To be continued in another RP. Expect it soon - ish.))

The woman easily twisted the blade into the Eldritch Shock's trajectory as she kicked Konrad away. As he flew through the air he'd be able to observe that not only the shock dispersed upon contact with the blade, but also the woman seemed to be unaffected whatsoever as she immediately charge at him while he was still in air.
The woman has already reached him before he could even properly unfold from the tumble and before Konrad even knew it he had the sword's edge mere inches away from his body as the woman went for a vertical slash from down below.
Corvus having already recovered to some degree, he was able to use the Omen of Crows as he charged into the mess of a battlefield. The bigger experiments proved to be a bigger problem than the soldiers first anticipated and Corvus was sure to use the havoc caused by them to navigate his way through the crowd. He managed to run all the way to the side corridor from whence he came, but couldn't feel the demonic presence anymore. Instead he saw Konrad battling a clumpsy looking female scientist with a beautiful sword that was bigger than her.
Quote:
However Corvus wasn't going alone as 10 Slashers from the back of their group followed him into the side corridor. Upon finding him they charged at Corvus with their swords drawn and ready to slice him into pieces.
Quote:
The soldiers were prepared for many things, but this one certainly wasn't among them as Phantom so quickly picked up the weapons and started seemingly randomly firing them. No bullets left the barrels of the guns, but hit their marks as the shadows brought them into their bodies. One by one the armored men were falling dead to the ground without even having the opportunity to react since they lived in a false belief the shields would protect them long enough.
Now with everybody around him dead he could look around. In the distance behind him he could see the battle between the experiments and more soldiers raging on and in front of him were the massive doors blocking the entrance into the laboratory 7A-000. He could feel the massive gate was heavily magically infused. However to the side was a panel with numerical keyboard. Apparently a code was required to open these doors, but where to find it?

"I just must have missed her," Corvus muttered to himself upon observing the fact that Ashkergal was no longer there. He noticed the Slashers. Fighting them up front wasn't something that Corvus wanted to do, but he had learned earlier that they had some weak points he could exploit. Using his Aspect form, he took the the air and fashioned javelins out of his bladed feathers, and used them to attack the slasher's weak joints and tubing from a distance.
