Give a slow on impact and heals Mana if you strike it. More reward for landing it and more disappointment if you miss.

Somebody correct my math if it's wrong here:
Skarner's base movespeed: 345
Caitlyn's base attack range: 650
Amount of time it takes Skarner to travel 650: 1.88s

Old Skarner's W (5 ranks): 23% movespeed buff
Movespeed with W up: 424.35
Amount of time it takes Skarner to travel 650: 1.53s
Total distance traveled over 6 seconds with W up: 2546.1 (3.91 * Cait's attack range)

New Skarner's W (5 ranks): 40% movepeed (from 3rd to 6th seconds, unknown before that)
Assuming linear ramp-up calculated on half-second timing that might look like this
0.5s: 06.66% - Total Movespeed: 367.77 - Total Distance: 183.88
1.0s: 13.33% - Total Movespeed: 390.98 - Total Distance: 379.37
1.5s: 19.98% - Total Movespeed: 413.93 - Total Distance: 586.33
2.0s: 26.64% - Total Movespeed: 436.90 - Total Distance: 804.78
2.5s: 33.33% - Total Movespeed: 459.98 - Total Distance: 1034.77
3.0s: 40.00% - Total Movespeed: 483.00 - Total Distance: 1276.27
Amount of time it takes Skarner to travel 650: 1.65s
Total distance traveled over 6 seconds with W up: 2725.27 (4.19 * Cait's attack range)

@RiotScruffy: Could we get more information about how the ramp-up is calculated?

Probably starts at 20% and gains the other half over time.

When the skill starts to fire, it briefly roots the target to disable blinks/flashes/escapes. Fixes the old issue of burning flash while restoring the "YOU ARE GONNA GET PULLED" aspect that existed back then.

Right now it ramps up from 20% lower than the max movespeed over the 3s. Also, it updates every 0.25s, but your math is correct for the assumptions you made.
