Every time you guys update this rework, it sounds even worse than before. You do realize that you are removing all of the unique features from a champion and replacing them with inferior moves and an inferior concept, right?

I am not trying to be mean, but as someone who likes playing this champion, I am irritated by how little you understand about his play style.

EDIT: You might as well just remove W completely and make Rengar only have three moves. The fact it doesn't mitigate AP at all makes it worthless in any phase past laning due to fact it scales on AP and is largely useless when not empowered anyway.

If you are removing the triple Q, and stealth you shouldnt nerf any damage... or instead give rengar a stronger ferocity from ult like red fury that has special effects but just the ferocity from ult for example empowered "w" from ult should have aoe fear plus the debuff ad or something like that...

Great, another champion I liked gutted. Bonetooth necklace is going to become the new Hex Core (Viktor's 'great' item); his ult has been completely neutered, and his W is going to be useless past lane/jungle clear phases. Rengar is going to join the ranks of champions like Olaf, Karma, Leblanc, Syndra, etc now; a 'troll' pick.

Speaking from the viewpoint of a player who very much enjoys Rengar's current kit, I must say that these changes sound atrocious and terrible in all regards. I will briefly go over what I feel will be butchered about rengar's kit

Savagery (Q): Nothing much changed here, other than slightly lower damage and a slightly higher attack speed buff (Not that you didn't already have maximum attack speed)

Battle Roar (W): I feel that this ability is now completely useless. Rengar relied on his w to remain tanky enough to burst down a carry in the back line, now, he'll be the one who'll be bursted as he pathetically tries to jump on anyone.

Bola Strike (E): This ability is next to useless in teamfights. Since this ability is no longer targeted, it's only good for generating ferocity stacks, and let's be honest, when will the carries not be completely blocked off? In addition to this, rengar already had issues sticking to targets, and with the change to this ability, he will be laughed at as he is perpetually kited.

Thrill of the Hunt (R): This ability is what makes rengar who he is. Rengar's ultimate is arguably the best thing about his kit, the ability to stealth and jump on an unsuspecting carry was my most memorable experience while playing this champion, and it gave rengar teamfight potential outside of bushes. However, with the removal of stealth from this ultimate, rengar will never be able to reach a carry ever again. While I do feel that his capability to assassinate high priority targets around baron and dragon will most likely be the same as always, rengar will be absolutely destroyed outside of the jungle.


Conclusion: These changes to rengar reduce his teamfighting potential as an assassin, if you're going to be removing stealth from rengar, then you might as well remove kha'zix ult stealth, or evelynn stealth, two champions that are exactly identical to rengar in terms of playstyle.

Just an FYI, Morello HATES Bloodseeker. The hero is built upon what Riot calls "burden of knowledge" (you have to know too much about what he does to counter him) and "false choices" (if you run, you take damage; if you stand still, you take damage). Personally, I think if there was one thing to change about Rengar, it would be to give him some flavorful ability with bleed damage on it (maybe his Q, make it like Talon's but provide limited vision of the target, like he's tracking them), but I don't think Rupture is that ability, regardless of my disagreements with Morello.

wasn't Classick the one who designed Rengar? shouldn't he be heavily involved (if not totally) in a Rengar rework? clearly, he had a certain image in mind (and might i add an awesome one) for Rengar which is being destroyed now. i would very much like to hear what he has to say about this rework.


also, need more updates on the whole stealth ultimate issue...been a while...

First karma, now rengar.... why scarizard? Do you think you would actually listen to the majority of the players here and just abandon? Like you guys are going to make his base stats op so you dont get the "this champ sucks" feel eg. karma, and just remove his uniqueness. If you want to actually buff him I would either give him back hp/5 or make his battle roar have him take X reduced damage from neutral monsters for the next X seconds. Small buffs to help out jungle rengar and leaving Top lane rengar as a high risk high reward assasin. Like he either dies or kills his target? Isn't this supposed to be what an assasin is? Like you are saying he does tons of damage in like 1 second
but look at ever other assasin compared to him! zed- INSANE damage after a few seconds with a way to easily get out, kha'zix much more teamfight utility W decent aoe E Q kill target R E out and potential for reset, akali-great sustained damage and burst with ability to reset and follow targets great cleanup potential, talon- great AOE damage plus a silence and dot, kassadin- full build probably more damage but puts himself in melee range but slow and silence and a flash every 5 seconds
, nocturne- DARKNESSSSSSS ........ an ally has been slain, LB- great single target damage silence, root, escape. single target damage + element of suprise is all rengar has and you guys are going to remove this. He will literally be useless lategame now or he is just going to become a stupid splitpusher eg. tankgar/trynd and we all know how fun that is.... Like you guys are making him into another fighter WE HAVE ENOUGH OF THOSE keep him a cool predator. I say abandon rework, but based off of your progress the only thing you actually listen to is your fellow rioters who will praise anything you do and don't want to hurt your feelings and say the rework sucks. If you really want to rework him so bad have a diffent rioter do it and make small changes like look how the trundle/twitch/eve rework turned out overall much more fun to play. Im sorry scarizard but from the looks of this reworks are just not for you, how about take it step by step and not all at once and maek a new champ. Like really when people asked for rengar buffs you guys could literally just make w reduce damage from neutral creeps BAM rengar buff everyone happy p.s. NERFING BONETOOTH AND GIVING MORE BINARY STATS. [which you said you wanted to remove.]

Riot Please listen to us for a moment.

Rengar able to kill the carry/mage is a GOOD thing for the game. What i mean is that it forces people to put more thought into their builds other then building for pure damage. An example i saw is Vayne buying a frozen mallet and due to the defenses given and the slow passive it let vayne survive ambushes and last longer in fights.

What Rengar the greatest hunter was doing was forcing people to either reconsider how they build or die. Why this is good is because it was causing a small(huge if your the adc) meta shift.

It was forcing people who arrogantly build only power(like the adc) and makes them have to reconsider their build. What i mean is as the adc you almost never have to change what you build which is whats stagnating the meta at bot lane.

But if you had to build some tankyness in order to survive an ambush that would actually make the adc even better in team fights because they last longer but deal less damage.

Rengar the greatest hunter forced people to think about their builds instead of just making the same thing over and over(even in world finals they are building the same thing every game(the adc and mid)) which isn't that great and kills diversity.

Riot by nerfing Rengar like this you are STAGNATING the meta which is a to put it nicely a very bad thing for anything with a competitive side of it.

Also if you think the meta is good right now riot even in the pro play-offs there were so many meta breaking choices which forced the enemy team to re-thing their strategy(most people don't see jungle GRAGAS or jungle KARMA with the current meta).
