Really sick of getting stunned mid net and not even moving yet the ability going on cd. If you get gap closed by any champion with any sort of hard cc you are absolutely screwed. Post in this thread if you would love for this to be fixed.

This actually happens with any dash, jump, or self-push/knockback... if they hit your origin point with any kind of cc, pull, push, knock, stun, anything.. while you are in the middle of it, no matter how far away you actually are, they still catch you in the middle of your animation and get to hit you at your starting point... It's annoying as hell for a champ like tristana, for example, since her jump has a pretty long animation and you can hit her in mid jump anytime by hitting the starting point... nothing cooler than jumping away from Volibear just to get thrown behind him anyway... or getting pulled by blitz from halfway across the map.

It's very annoying, but Riot seems to think this is how it needs to work, most likely to differentiate dash/jumps from blink/flashes more by making them less effective defensively... a case of game mechanics beating realism.

The only champs where it actually works on are malphite, hecarim, and vi, just because they're ultimates and it would be stupid if it could be cancelled with a stun.

you probably deserve it for not playing safe as caitlyn.
my point? net sooner.

I see alot of people get wrecked by caitlyns who save their net and try to walk out of sticky situations without wasting the CD and the mana, then i nthe next engage they have the net and the mana to combo away and to ult for a kill.

their tooltips actually state that they cannot be interrupted while performing their dashes..

He's talking about being interrupted while using Caitlyn's net, not interrupting people with the net (which is impossible anyway since it's just a slow).

As a Caitlyn player, this skill is near-useless compared to Arcane Shift. I'm working on dropping Caitlyn from my main ADC line up, but it's hard to give up her traps and combos.

She is powerful for her range, and you want to buff her escaping mechanism as well? Don't you think that might be a problem if you keep her exceptionally high range and make her even safer?

This is not an issue of game balance, it's an issue of skill and mechanics. If someone can time it properly to interrupt the movement from your net, then that's their own skill that is outplaying you. You could have used your net at a different time, sooner or later depending on the scenario.

The only thing that makes sense in this situation, other than leaving it alone, would be some sort of "interrupted skill" CD change. A lot of arena-type games have something similar, where if you use an ability but are interrupted, then the CD placed on the spell is not the actual duration, but a shortened duration designed to reward the enemy for their skillful timing, but not overly cripple you. However, this could be difficult to put in place, and it's hardly justifiable from a balance standpoint.
