I'm calling it now:

It's Trynd's rival that helped slaughter his tribe. What the Freljord says about the dagger and Trynd's lore are basically the same story.

When it turns out that the champion is completely unrelated to the frozen watchers, I'm going to have a very nice laugh. People need to just learn that it comes out when it comes out, and that trying to guess if their theories are correct will only lead to high expectations and disappointment.

Ask Xerath, the Mage Ascended? I'm sure he had a few magical enquirers on such a figure; in fact I believe in his time, beings(or this singular being) existed commonly. Which is why you've found Idols and pieces of ancient culture depicting them in such an askew manure. But.... Xerath doesn't like to share his secrets... so you'll have trouble getting any information from him.

HOLY Stuff. If It's as old as time, found at bloody war spots... I'm gonna have to say It's a Demon God of War/Chaos. Mayhaps it likes to spark war and join in on the "fun".

Ah, Ezreal. I don't believe that we've met.

I am 'Solemn', an assistant at the Library of Progress (a portion of the Piltover Academy of Science and Progress that I believe you have become quite familiar with over the years, if your checkout list proves to be any example of your love of research). While normally content to categorize the vast amount of material in our collection (and fetch tomes for intrepid adventurers, such as yourself!), I could not help but notice the pomp and fanfare that accompanied your entrance into the Library earlier today - it took quite an effort from the faculty to hold back the tide of well-wishers that threatened to spill gratitude and Sinful Succulence-brand baked goods onto the carpet.

But having Jayce as a companion does that, I suppose - the man can hardly show his face any longer without drawing a crowd.

Celebrity privileges aside, I could not help but wonder just why you would need to access the graduates' section of the library, so I took it upon myself to 'relieve' one of the other librarians in that area, and took his place as you began your hunt for information upon the rather interesting figure that your report describes. I believe that one of my fellows was the one who brought you your stack of literature, as well - and if your stay at the library was any guide, you've unearthed quite a bit about what you're looking for.

Still, I couldn't help but peer over your shoulder as I passed once or twice. I do apologize for that, but you seemed so interested in reading that resisting the urge was impossible.

Something rather odd did catch my eye, though, when I glimpsed the figure for myself: the blade, which bears a striking resemblance to another weapon in this land's arsenal. Intrigued, I did a bit of digging after you left, and fished a book of Demacian arms and armor from the archives.

Take a look at this, would you?

The artist here has done a spectacular job of depicting a triumphant Crown Prince Jarvan IV, but it is his lance that draws my attention.

Flip it over, and we get something like this...

Odd, isn't it? The lance bears a resemblance to the weapon depicted in your wood carving, which leads me to wonder: might the royal line of Demacia have been influenced by the actions of this general? Even more striking, though, is the fact that Prince Jarvan's helmet also bears a resemblance to the helm of the figure painted upon your Shuriman urn - had I not taken a second look, I might have supposed that particular piece of art to be another portrayal of the prince, and not some other being. The wings, as well, seem to remind me of those of another figure: Kayle or Morgana, perhaps, or even a link to Shyvana's more... weighty form?

While my shift is long since over, I've left my notes and the book on Demacian weaponry with an attendant at the library's front desk: simply ask for it, and they'll be sure to give it to you. Should you find this information useful, I'd be happy to help escort you into the graduates' section in future endeavors, as well - it's not incredibly difficult to adjust the schedules of the staff so that a certain adventurer might find a moment to slip in and out of the cordoned-off areas now and again.

That being said, please remember that the Library is most definitely not a cafeteria - while our good Jayce was kind enough to resist the offerings of grateful followers, several muffins and cookies' worth of crumbs are notoriously difficult to sweep out of the carpet.

- Solemn
