I play LoL with a bunch of my friends and we are based in Australia. However, we are not locals, and during the end of the year holidays we would like to return to our respective home countries. Me and my friends come from countries like Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

I've heard that Garena is planning to own the rights to distribution of LoL in the SEA region, and this encompasses countries like Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia. However, we will only be home for at the very least, 1 month, and at the very most, 3 months. During this duration, would we be forced to have to play the SEA version of the game? Our accounts are registered with Australian residency. Therefore, would we have to make new accounts? For my friends from Hong Kong there's also the issue of playing in a Chinese server.
