Calling all computer building enthusiasts
I'm currently looking at some parts for building a computer. Right now I'm looking between the AMD FX-8350 (8 core cpu) and the Intel i5 3570, both priced at around a little more than 200 usd.

Anyone know how they match up to each other in terms of performance, both overclocked and non-overclocked?

I likes me the AMD

Windows 8 handles 8 cores much better than 7 did too.

Amd dropped the ball on the FX-8350. I've just recently switched to the i5-3570 and I've never looked back.

cant remember whether the 8350 was the first or second line they did.

first bulldozers were pretty underwhelming but the second seemed much better

AMD isn't competitive except at the very low end (Intel i3 and Pentium) anymore. It's a shame, but true.
