Edit: In that post Zephyreal suggests filing a tech support ticket. I have considered doing this, but I believed I would just get an automated response, so I never actually did. Also, they said at one point that they were working on a system to eliminate hitching, so surely this would make no difference, if they had a solution we would know about it, right? I might do it anyway, but let me know if any of you guys have made a ticket on the issue yet.

Alright, its been way too long. I'm going to send a support ticket about this issue and see what info I can get outta Riot. Every damn game I play this issue frustrates me.

I submitted the VERY detailed ticket six days ago now. The site tells me that it is awaiting my response even though there has been no Riot response. Very strange.

Alright I finally got a response out of them one week later. It seems like an automated response although they were able to determine that I was on the Mac client and that I was experiencing a 'delay' issue. Most of my ticket seemed unread as they re-asked me for info that I already provided, which is frustrating because I was as detailed as possible in my original request in hopes that it would speed up response time. Pretty much a waste of my time and effort if it never gets read. :/

Anyway, Riot Dita in the seemingly automated response told me to attempt a repair. This was probably the first thing I tried 5 months ago haha. Then I was asked to provide r3d logs (which I already posted in my first request), and to give them system and network information. I gave them everything they wanted, even if this is the second time I've done it. Hopefully someone over there actually reads through my entire post so we can get some answers here.

I'll keep this updated as they respond.

They've responded to my ticket yet again. It seems to be an automated ticket once again as there's no real response to my statements. Just generic requests to run networking tests (again) although they are slightly different tests this time. Still no real answers or real responses.

Finally we might be starting to get somewhere on this. I've gotten to the point in my ticket where they are responding with actual answers. The traceroute file I supplied to them lists a 10% packet loss on 2 different server hops. Riot Dita believes that this is the cause of the issue. I intend to resolve my packet loss by talking to Comcast / messing with my router and reporting back to them. I suspect that resolving my packet loss will not remedy the issue as every time I run the traceroute script I get different results.

If this is indeed the problem maybe we all have internet issues? I find that hard to believe but I'll give it a shot for our sake.

If you are experiencing freezing on death on the Mac client and would like to help me out follow this guide as provided by Riot Dita:

1) Download and unzip the attached file, LoLTR.zip. Copy the LOLTR folder to your DESKTOP.
2) Run LoLTR.
3) If this is your first time running this script, it will install a small traceroute plug-in for Macs called MTR. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MTR_(software)
*Please make sure to enter your Mac User Password when installing (IMPORTANT: NO PERSONAL INFORMATION IS COLLECTED WITH THIS SCRIPT/PLUGIN). If you have no password, leave it blank and hit enter.
4) Select the server(s) to start the traceroute(s).
5) Locate the text file(s) generated on your desktop and attach the file(s) to your next response to me.

If I can see some other people's traceroutes who have the same problem, I may be able to provide them with counter examples and prove that our internet connectivity is not the cause of this problem.

I just can't believe that EVERY Mac user is having packet loss. If someone wants to help out and run the script from the above post that would be great. It might confirm my suspicions.
