I can confirm that: in S3 she's quite obviously [i]dead[/b].
Reds say stupid stuff all the time, you can't take everything they say as fact - and the source you're referring to doesn't actually confirm she IS a lich, Rickless said that she was 'more or less' a lich.

Anyway, the lore never explicitly states what happens, so I dunno.

Or it could be the Excalibur who sings this:

Excalibur, Excalibur
From United Kingdom
I'm looking for him
I'm going to California

Excalibur, Excalibur
From United Kingdom
I'm looking for her
I'm going to California

Excalibur
Excalibur
Excalibur!

Remember Excalibur's journey began in the twelfth century.

Nineteenth century poet Alfred, Lord Tennyson, described the sword in full Romantic detail in his poem "Morte d'Arthur", later rewritten as "The Passing of Arthur", one of the Idylls of the King: 19th century poem about Excalibur, most detailed description ever provided references :

There drew he forth the brand Excalibur,
And o’er him, drawing it, the winter moon,
Brightening the skirts of a long cloud, ran forth
And sparkled keen with frost against the hilt:
For all the haft twinkled with diamond sparks,
Myriads of topaz-lights, and jacinth-work
Of subtlest jewellery

-Nightblade Irelia
-Aviator Irelia
- Frostblade Irelia
- Infiltrator Irelia wears cat burglar mask

There are four thematic references in the poem and 4 thematic skins that match the poem about Excalibur.

Further to this, Rioter Pendragon references Arthur Pendragon - the King who wielded Excalibur and it was bound to sneak it's way into a Champions hands in-game, even if obscured in lore and themes - I believe it just so happened to be Irelia as there are a lot of thematic references that match-up perfectly.

Need more evidence to support claim that her blade is Excalibur - shall keep digging.
I once saw her lying down in a lake, raising her arm out of the water, with the sword in hand. True story.

So how did we even think about this in the first place?

Was reading a thread about Irelia being a Lich and started reading her lore and noticed that a lot of references reminded me of things I'd heard or read about Excalibur and after checking a few references - internet reliability aside, seemed like the two themes (Irelia and Excalibur) had a lot more in common than I first thought.
