Better nerf ... Shaco?

Let's have a look at his patch history, omitting all bugfixes. It's a tragic story, but kinda funny (not unlike how Shaco rolls, in fact).

Deceive: Shaco enters stealth and instantly teleports to target location. His next attack has a 100% chance to critical strike.
Jack In The Box: Shaco drops a Jack-in-the-Box at target location, which will wait, stealthed, to fear nearby units and attack them when someone comes nearby.
Two-Shiv Poison: Passive: Shaco’s attacks poison targets on hit, reducing their chance to hit and slowing them. Active: Shaco throws his daggers to deal damage and poison the target.
Hallucinate (Ultimate): Shaco creates an illusion of himself that can attack nearby enemies. It explodes upon death dealing AoE damage.
Backstab (Innate): Shaco deals 25% bonus damage when striking a unit from behind.

Added to the game Oct. 10, 2009.

i'm almost glad shaco got nerfed into oblivion. did you ever play against him before those nerfs? jesus ****ing christ.

i feel bad for shaco players, but still.

I feel like Shaco needs a kit rework...with all the nerfs that he's getting with no real solution, it might be better to go down that path instead of constantly wrecking his face patch after patch.

The w nerf from 90 to 60 was necessary, he could place w's a lot and basically do wraiths/red/golem at the same time...

I count nerfs in five patches since his release. Granted, he's never seen a buff, and hasn't been out as long, but I still think Shaco has been hit harder.

The slow nerf and the deceive range nerf was complete bull****. Why in gods name they decided to hit a champ who is not even doing well really pisses me off. Not to mention hes had more nerfs then bug fixes.

I've played Shaco quite often. He's been really fun with his ganks and assassination potential even with his nerfs. Would I be happy if he got a buff? Definitely would love to see his boxes not get 1shot by a small AoE spell. Shaco is a high skillcap and requires you to use his whole kit to be good.

Btw, I started playing league in December of 2012. I started playing Shaco in January. He was one of my favorite jungles with his ganks. I recently played him a week ago and he was still quite in good shape. Only thing I would like is his boxes not get 1shot.

To be fair, Shaco was apparently wrecking faces in Korea.
