Definite improvement over live, but I still fail to see the issue with the 200 hp ticks (or 250!). 2 days of readjusting to the change vs being infinitely more readable on anything with over 1200 health.

With my hate of Bruisers, I will in time come to hate seeing those dark ticks.

But since its just a UI update now without bad memories to associate with it, great job Xelnath!

So, for more context, I give you this comparison.

Cho'Gath with NO HP ITEMS on live: 620829

Well I think this is really cool. Being able to tell how much health people have as opposed to just a percentage of their total should help with quick decision making without having to directly click on someone.

LOL @ trolls who use ANY thread as an excuse to cry about warmogs and HP.

This change is great. I stopped caring about those health bars after level 10 or so. Now I can easily see how much health anyone has. Great UI tweak!

Everyone hates the health meta.

Hello Summoners,

Since the launch of the game, it's been hard to see how much health a champion has. We've revisited our assumptions in what information needs to be clearly conveyed to players and updated the champion health bars to handler higher health.

Here you can see how the original health bars worked:

620771

Once Amumu passed 3,200 health, the notches stopped increasing and it is very hard to count how much health an opponent has.

Here, Amumu is modelling the new health bars:
620772

When you cross the 1,000 health threshold, a full, dark tick now appears. This makes it easier to see how many thousands of health your opponent has.

While we tried many, many iterations, we chose this one because it balanced between familiarity (no need to re-learn what 1 tick means!) and clarity past 2,000 health.

What do you think?

You, Ser Red, have an amazing title.

looks so bad, you really don't need new hp bars... who in their right mind counts the ticks anyways when they see an opponent, nobody because you literally don't have enough time, you just estimate i mean you can tell if they got alot of hp or not, new hp bars look like a ruler >.>

So when is this affect taking place?
