You played 23-70 hours of taric in 3 days?

4% made him even more broken in bot lane though. He could punish someone for being out of position on his own. With a carry it was an auto kill no matter what.

Then why not keep it 4% but remove the double damage from champions. That keeps Jungle Taric good.

2% on minions/monsters seems completely pointless. It's single target and he has low base AS.

I'm going to make a thread on this forum just to clarify:

To all players who like Taric - the passive is still 4%/8%

You just have to be level 11 first.

It starts at 2%/4%

At level 6, it goes to 3%/6%

At level 11, it stops at 4%/8%

Basically, Riot didn't like the level 1 damage that he had when you took Mana runes and a Sapphire crystal. He was hitting for over 100 mixed damage.

So why not scale back his attack damage and leave the passive as before? He should be able to deal that magic damage. He has one of the highest base AD stats, though. NERF THAT hard instead. Evens him out for support and keeps his the same for top.

because then he doesn't have to itemize to deal massive damage

How do you figure? Even building heavy mana doesn't do much for your cause without either manamune or attack speed. Both of which are direct results of an item path. It's not like Ryze where you go hypercarry with only tank items, he has to itemize in order to deal his damage, or it's irrelevant after a couple minutes of no updates.

buy tear of the goddess at first back deals massive damage with zero repercussions and has awesome sustain and ability to deal with harass...

If you're starting Sapphire, then 50 mana from your first back isn't going to make your damage skyrocket. Most tops can shrub that off especially if they also recall and grab their sustain items (flask, pots, Vamp Scepter, Revolver, Philo). You gain that much just from leveling up once. You would be much better served grabbing sheen first to enhance trades and add more oomph to your spell's AP ratios.

Either way, that still means you're itemizing because those ARE your damage items.

Edit: Lots of testing, jungle still works. weaker early game ganks because less auto attacks damage, but being a stun/shred bot in ganks is usually enough. I still maintain that they should nerf his AD harder than they did last time and restore his passive, however, unless they don't him to be viable top. It pretty much comes down to that.

the problem here is that it was an overnerf.

making the damage half of of what it was is a blatlent overnerf

i think 3%( 6% to champions) is a far better option

it reduces the damage pretty well( about 50-100 late game)

I'm going to put this here because people aren't looking at the threads before they complain.
