How do we know the system won't instaban the wrong players? And could we see the same system go live in the future? Or is it just for the smaller PBE server?

Remove a player's ability to chat in game (Pings are sufficient, stop complaining about the "Refuse to communicate).

People who can't control their tongue should just be auto muted for a time. If they go on to more toxic behavior (feeding) then they'll get perma banned.

The point is that people who can't hold their tongues are not necessarily scum of the earth trolls. Some of us just have a little lower tolerance for what we put up with on the internet.

Between the change in the ranked system and plans for the toxicity, I have absolutely no reason to be displeased with PBE. This has been a long time coming and a long time waited on, you'll find those of us who are completely ready for the change of pace fairly quickly, and those who aren't... well, some of them may need time to adapt to the changes, but hopefully they'll stand with us too.

I'd like to point out that you can mute players during the game. You may have to bear what they say during champ select, but the mute feature works wonders.

Linking PBE accounts to live accounts may be a step in the right direction.

This way, if a player is banned for toxic behavior on the live server, they cannot go on the PBE server and ruin peoples' days there.

Since registration for the PBE is limited to the first week of every month, a 7 day ban on the PBE would be particularly effective.

I'm all for linking PBE accounts to a regular server (NA/EU) level 30 accounts and share toxicity punishments.

That said, awesome work Lyte!

The current system on PBE will start off conservative, then ramp up in aggressiveness over time. We are going to manually review the data from the initial bans until we are confident that the system has an extremely high accuracy in the 99% range--once we reach that mark, we will loosen up the manual review over every ban.
