So today I was trying to get League to work using a proxy, and a found a great thread in EUW:
http://euw.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?p=5345976

Above is a well-written guide by Lynads which explains how to run applications (mainily LoL) through a proxy WITHOUT the use of a third party software.
However, reading the comments, it appears that people are having problems with authentication of corporate proxies. This can resolved in the following manner.

Let's say the proxy we are using is called "proxy.sample.com" and uses ports 8000.
let's say the login details to the proxy are:
account: Batman
password: Joker

In step 5 of Lynads' great guide, we would need to input
Batman:Joker@proxy.sample.com:8000

As of now, I no longer have the RADS problem and the client is updating successfully. Hopefully there aren't any problems to follow and that I can run the game successfully in uni =)

Please reply if the method above works, thanks!

Cheers,
Xie

So on PVP.net Client login, turns out that I get connection failure, probably due to port restriction of my university.

Same as Xiexingwu, I get a connection failure at login, which comes up after a certificate message. Help?

Got the same message as the person above. On attempting to log in, came up with the message of connection failure. Just previously to this occurring, a message popped up about a certificate not being trusted. how do I fix this?
