Remember when they said Dominion wasn't balanced enough for ranked and then we disproved that theory?
Remember when someone said that "it's not as simple as a flip of a switch" to which we found a thread with a red saying "it's ready to go, it just needs the switch flipped"?
Remember when Riot said that Ranked won't bring in more players to the game mode and then how we find people who say "we don't play Dominion because there is no ranked"?

Riot should just come clean. They don't want Dominion to be successful because it will take away from their SR player-base. Riot needs to stop this way of thinking because players are still playing League of Legends. Leaving SR for Dominion is not a drop in over all player base.
Hiring Nome was a step in the right direction. Now Riot just needs to hire people to help him out. That is the quickest way to ranked (in my opinion).

Exactly, and giving people the chance to ban champions that they find problematic at THEIR level of play would help balance things out a bit and take away some of the frustration that keeps people from taking this mode seriously.

Different ELO levels would have different bans. There would be a couple of universal bans like Kassadin and maybe Jayce/Yorick, but then you have 3-4 bans that you can choose to ban whoever you don't like. Hell, even increase the number of bans to 8 or 10 for DOM. Not to mention, the removal of double ups means that if someone takes X champion, you can see this, and are now free to organise a counter to it.

Yes yes, I know this is a band-aid on the gaping wound of the problem with DOM BUT, at least in the interim it gives those that want more out of the game mode what they want.
And there really is no downside, if there is, it's tiny things like the odd queue dodge here and there or some people getting mouthy when they don't like the bans. Quite honestly those are so miniscule that they shouldn't even be considered. I mean look at SR. Same thing there and they don't disable ranked for that.
