let me clarify, so trinity force gives you a 150% dmg proc and iceborn gauntlets give you a 125% dmg proc, would they stack to do 275% dmg proc?

No they are both called spell sword and unique passives with the same name will not stack, sorry but a good question.

you would get 150% extra on you main target, and you would get the AoE damage, but not more damage on the same target.

Valor got it right; Riot added named passives specifically for the effects that aren't supposed to stack ever.

There was a known bug that had the Ice Glove stacking with other Spellblades. I think its been corrected already but can't be sure.
