This just gets to me. Have you ever held a job before? In any enviroment is it ok to harass, criticize, torment, impede your teams/workforce progress just because you can't be a decent human being?

his playing a GAME and insulting random people should not jeopardize his JOB.

how about next time you call someone a cоcksucker in game we fire you from google or amazon or wherever it is you work?

Except his job isn't with some other company, it's with Riot, and he messed up with Riot. He just got fired.

Well, the way I view it is like this:

If you are known for ruining team's probabilities to win a tournament or any form of competition it truly shows a lack of maturity, sportsmanship, and professionalism. You won't see someone in Football shouting at his team if they do bad. You won't see a receiver purposely throw a game because the quarterback threw an interception. If you show a lack of professionalism and impede your own team's success then I say his tournament ban was very well put in place. Do you know how bad it'll look on Riot's behalf if they allowed him to continue doing this? This reminds me of that Starcraft player Idra. He turned the esport scene for SC2 into a joke with his rage fits in tournaments. I say this ban was very well needed.

But if you cussed out people like that at your job do you think you would keep it for very long? His ability to play Riot's game at tournaments is a privilige that he lost for breaking their rules. And it's not like he didn't have 8 warnings. It didn't come out of the blue.

wrong because such a thing wasn't explicitly stated.

how about you drive around and get traffic tickets, you have to pay fines sure whatever you laugh and keep doing it. then one day you come out of your house and your car is missing, and they tell you. you can no longer own a car

you can't just make up new rules and implement them. you HAVE to tell people

Except if you keep driving around getting traffic tickets, your license gets suspended. No one says he is not allowed to own a computer or to have league of legends installed on said computer. That would be similar in your analogy to owning the car. However, playing the game would be closer to driving the car, which they can tell you you're not allowed to do if you keep getting tickets.

There really isn't a reason to compare this to owning/driving a vehicle, though. Compare it to what it is, a career/job. You can't blatantly ignore the summoners code (or in your jobs case, the employee handbook or whatever) and not expect repercussions. And I'd say the amount of warnings he got is far and beyond what most jobs would give you before firing you. He isn't even fired. He's not allowed to play for a year. At worst, that still compares him to a lot of professional athletes who get similar punishments from their sports.

Unless the game is part of his job... WOW guess what it is. Its related don't act like riot fired this guy for doing something outside the game. It wasn't. It was in the game, the one that he is fortunate enough to play professionally.

Pretty sure this is how this actually happens. Or they catch you driving and impound your car on the spot. You think they call you up a week before and say "Hey, um if you don't stop speeding we are going to take your car.." No they wait for you to do it again and bust you.

you didn't address the situation as i laid it out. clearly there is precedence and law in place that ALLOWS them to do as you stated.

there ISN'T one that allows them to come to your house and confiscate your property

apples, oranges.

really? where in his contract does it state that playing games and acting like a dоuche will get him fired

if he signed such an agreement with riot then fine
