The battle rages on for hours and hours longer on all fronts. Forsaken shadow guard, along with Hylde and hthe Thunderbird, along with Logan, reinforced by a troop of White Order mages, and allied ships would triumph over the mermen on the beach head with few losses.

In the city, one by one the city blocks are isolated and secured by the powerful Black Order. Merfolk run this way and that in attempts to flee the death trap they wandered into. Some begged for mercy, and even surrendered. But for their unprovoked attack, and merciless, indiscriminant slaughter in the early stage attacked are put down without hesitation.

The dragons by this point had been slain and all that remained was the titanic golden dragon.

As the storm rages on, growing more and more vigorous the soldiers of Krizar City have to now fight the weather in place of water dwellers. The Krizarian forces moved to the ramparts from all over the city, drawn like moths to a flame by the great dragon that now hovered before the failing sea wall. The great beasts eyes wandered this way and that, never ceasing, never calm. Each beat of its massive wings was like to knock a weaker, or smaller person to the ground.

"The choice will come for all of you. Sacrifice yourselves, or death to all. Heaven and Hell converge on your worlds, fire and ice, death and ruin. The First will return, and in his wake so shall the dead rise, and the living perish - your flesh will wilt from your bones, bodies crumble like dust. In the presence of Tiamat, even gods quake. The power of the three realms will be at your finger tips. Will you choose power, or tyranny? In the end, all will end. Choose soon, and wisely, mortals. I am Arthenos, the brother of your destroyer. Rally your races, death watches you with molten red eyes from the deepest, darkest shadows."

Arthenos, the Golden Dragon, bother of "Tiamat" beats his wings, tilts its head back and screams in both tongues. As he does, the wind picks up, rain threatens to drown grown, standing men in the downpour, and lightning ravages the ramparts before one particularly dazzling flash blinds them, and Arthenos is gone.

Delmegar and Agares stand feet from each other, having both witnessed the occurence and look to one another, then their allies to see if anyone is harmed. Most are alright, and simply dazed from the dragons display. Still, now was not the time to mull over the words from this Arthenos. He turns back, thrusts his sword into the air and shouts, "We are victorious brothers and sisters! Go home, tend to your wounds and your families. Tonight we celebrate those who valiantly defended, those who lived and those who died. Tomorrow what we have lost."

Delmegar, Agares, and Logan move to one another, speaking in silence for a brief moment before deciding to leave with the rest. Soldiers cheer their victory and their lords, and their new allies. The leaders of the Order go to the Theatre of Warriors, on top the tallest hill of Krizar, overlooking the sea. There they will regroup, meet with their officers and generals and decide what to do from here. And how to take the warning of ths Arthenos.

With the battle over and the golden dragon gone, Fulgriel said to Fornias: "Let's go back to Heaven, we need to tell them what's happened here and prepare for war."

"We can't go back," replied Fornias, letting out a long sigh, "the archangel Sangrael tapped into some dark power and rebelled. It was a bloody coup, other archangels and seraphs could not stop him, and he has full control of Heaven now. I couldn't trust anyone in Heaven, so I escaped here to find you. These attacks today, they can't have been a coincidence to what happened in Heaven, for I heard Sangrael shout the name 'Tiamat' just as the golden dragon did. This Tiamat must've gotten to Heaven somehow and corrupted it from the inside. Heaven is against us now."

Fulgriel eyes widened at what he had just heard. After a brief pause, he said "Why would Heaven support him? The other angels of Heaven wouldn't ever join his army."

"They are too afraid to resist. You know how his regiment, brutal and merciless. On top of that, he's declared himself king, and probably also brainwashed Heaven into thinking that he's doing the right thing. One by one they'll all fall into his service." replied Fornias.

"Damn! I just remembered!" said Fulgriel "One day I overheard some of the archangels discussing something about a secret armory in Heaven that contained forbidden weapons sealed away long ago. Archangels can access it, but only if all living archangels would agree to open it. Since Sangrael is the only one left, he can open it at will and unleash all those forbidden weapons to aid the dragons. I heard what was inside of it-"

"Swords? Bows? Rifles?" inquired Fornias

"Those, and something much, much more dangerous." Fulgriel gulped "I'm afraid that Sangrael now has access to ancient angelic mechs; gigantic, destructive war machines that would wipe out an entire regiment in the blink of an eye. Our ancestors sealed them away because they were too dangerous, but now..."

The two just stared at each other for a while, thinking. "We have to warn the humans of this city to prepare for such an invasion. If it comes down to it, then we'll need to teach them how to... kill angels effectively." said Fornias, his voice trailing off at the end. Fulgriel hesitated, but agreed. Heaven was once their home, but it didn't exist anymore, not with Sangrael, the puppet of Tiamat, in charge. They decided to seek out the leaders of Krizar and speak with them at the Theatre of Warriors.

Theatre of Warriors

On top the tallest hill of Krizar City, among the more recent structures built was the Theatre of Warriors that overlooked the sea below. The Theatre resembled something of a colliseum with a roof, built of solid white stone, and usually the sound of a choir singing, and orchestra playing came from its innards.Today was scarcely different, and to add to the calming of the music was the chaotic shouts of warriors training, while officers and general spoke together about missions, campaigns, strategies and ploys.

Upon entering the large building - dimly lit by only a few large pyres, scarce braziers decorating the walls of the largest square room when first entering, one would see a great stone table where Delmegar, in all black casual attire, and his wife Selyse, in a scarlet dress, and hair tied to one side stood. With them, a dark haired yordle with mismatched armor, a soldier by name of Agares, in his usually war gear, and a stranger knight with long crimson hair, named Barbas.

The group were talking enthusiastically in hushed voices, concering the warning that Arthenos had given only a short while ago. "Del, we are already spread thin as it is. The attack caught us completely off guard, and our people are tired, scared and weak after today. Taking the fight to an enemy we know nothing about in lands that are not our own is suicidal." His wife, Selyse said in a stern voice, gently pushing back a strand of hair from her eyes.

Delmegar nodded at this after a moment. He looked down at Logan who had been silent, studying an old map of Valoran. The Great decided to speak, raising a finger like he'd thought of something brilliant. "We have power those beasties do not, Del. They can not match our technological prowess. Let us aid our neighbors to the north with our navy, and if need be sail to Bilgewater to gather reinforcements. I'm certain the pirate people want to continue their lives of treachery, murder, deceipt, among other admirable traits! I mean, how couldn't they? We aren't even pirates and we enjoy those things thoroughly, eh?"

Del looked to the entrance of the Theatre, wondering. He was expecting others, though he did not know who or why.

Fulgriel and Fornias went towards the Theatre of Warriors to warn them about Heaven's secret arsenal. Although it was a slower way to go, they decided to walk instead of fly up the hill to the Theatre of Warriors, as they though it would be more polite towards the humans. Two guards stood at the gate, asking their reason for entry, to which Fulgriel replied: "we have some valuable knowledge about this new foe, and some suggestions of preparations that need to be made against these beasts and their allies. We would like to share them with your leaders." He saw that one of the guards looked at their wings peculiarly, to which he responded:"We're angels, if you were wondering." One guard said after some hesitation to the other: "Tell the lords there are two men.. err angels at the gate requesting entry. They have some information concerning the events today."

Phantom was still on the beach speaking with his men. The Dragon's warning brought to his attention that this battle was not over in the slightest. He spoke with his elites and men about a mass order he had for them. A hushed conversation was spoken and then all the Shadow Guards left for the remaining ships. However Phantom and his elites stayed. The Forsaken ones moved through the city fairly quickly, jumping across the rooftops towards the Theatre of Warriors. Upon reaching the place, they saw the angels which was interesting for a moment. Though unlike most who let themselves in the traditional way, Forsaken were more subtle. After phasing through the walls like ghosts, Phantom approached Delmegar from the side. He bows and speaks. "Hello there, I am here to assist you in matters regarding the massive gold...dragon..."

Claude listened to the dragon's message and covered his eyes as the dragon disappeared in a bright flash of light. "Well that certainly wasn't good whatsoever." he muttered to himself as he returned his sword to his sheath, and took a moment to reload his revolver.

"So that was merely the creature's brother. Interesting...this will be a fight indeed." Koroza commented, "But it's not our problem is it?"

"Of course it’s our problem. How do you expect to rule a world with no one to rule over?" Claude replied as he returned his revolver to his holster.

"Really do you have such time to spare boy?" Koroza taunted and Claude gripped the back of his shoulder and a look of pain crossed his face.

"I made a promise...I cannot simply turn my back on these people." Claude muttered to himself, while Koroza laughed at how Claude clung to the promise he made. Claude just ignored his resident before recalling the larger fiery beast from before, "What about the fiery beast from before?"

"I do not know...the creature was most likely defeated. Koroza replied it seems as though the thought demons were truly as weak as he perceived to be done in by such a pathetic foe. He would have to reconsider their position in his legion. Claude for some reason believed Koroza...maybe it had something to do with the fact he could no longer sense that bloodlust he felt before.

Claude saw a large group of soldiers, moving up toward a coliseum of some sorts, and decided to follow them. He would however be stopped by the guards at the entrance, like any intelligent guard they were not simply going to allow any stranger near their commander. Claude nodded at the guard, "I'm here to offer my skills and services to the man in charge, I'm sure you could use an extra hand or two." he explained to the guard. The guard told yet another solider to go and inform the commander of, yet another stranger was here offering his services. However, he motioned Claude to stay here....this unfortunately left Claude waiting nearby the angels. So Claude just tried it natural and begun to tap his foot, while secretly praying Koroza would keep his presence down, and the angels were too caught up in their own affairs to notice.

Shortly after the battle, Hilde had the Thunderbird drop her off within the city, planting the heraldry of Krizar upon the tallest building still intact. The sight of the silvery bird inspired fear and awe, as it was now apparent that these creatures carried the very storm upon their wings. Above the city, storm clouds seethed and roiled, lightning and thunder played their cacophonous symphony.

The men though, had their attention on the platinum blonde woman walking among them, clad in runed aegis breastplate armor and adorned in a deep aqua battle dress. The spurs on her greaves audibly jingled as she walked, crowds parting where she went. Hushed reverence came from the mouths of former demacians, and silent admiration from others. Hilde was a beauty like many female champions yes, but she had an inner charisma- a divine halo of one who has been so touched by the higher powers, perhaps more notable than even the angels that had fought in this battle.

Hilde’s very passing seemed to uplift the wounded, rousing those who had fallen into the deep sleep. It was almost unearthly, the solemnity she generated now that the battle was over. She sought out her protégé, Marlena- and found her with the soldiers, tossing merefolk bodies into a pile. The paladin looked upon the shield on her back and saw many gashes and scratches, while her mace was marred with blood and dented.

“Milady... I am... not presentable...” Marlena said, being aware of the blood, grime, and filth on her. Her leather tunic was ripped in several places.

“You did well. You are steadily learning what it means to walk the path of the Vindicator.” Hilde said, in a tone of unmistakable compliments. Disregarding the girl’s comments on her appearance, the living saint moved forward to bestow healing grace upon her.

“...You should probably... save that for people who need it...” Marlena tried to decline. She had lived with a selfish mindset all her life, but being exposed to a people like the natives of Krizar, she was slowly changing her thoughts. Hilde paid her no heed, and bestowed it anyway.

“...it is clear that the people need you, Marlena. You have shown the ability to stand beside them in their time of need.” Hilde said, with an almost lecturing tone. She looked about the people, and they all return to their tasks.

“...Do what you must, then rest. Your time has finally come.” Hilde spoke as she kept a hand on Marlena’s shoulder. The girl could only keep quiet, and then continue working. “Okay... milady.”

Theatre of Warriors

While the paladin was minutes away from visiting the Theatre, the Thunderbird circled above the gathering, observing the heroes of the day. Around it a small storm raged; it let out a great cry, accompanied by resounding thunder. Having answered Hilde’s call, it departs, returning to its sacred mountain far away, and the storm clouds cease to be. The soldiers-at-training audibly sound their admiration and fear for the mystical beast.

“...Wonder what a drumstick of one of those tastes like.” They joked, and laughed.

“Wonder where the lady riding that bird went.” Another asked, and the other soldiers mockingly teasing him.

When she arrived, there was a noticeable silence as her passing drew many stares. They could only point to the main gathering, as Hilde’s enormous psychic purity imposing itself on the warriors. She kept her senses about, for though while the dragons were beaten back there was now no more sign of the demonic taint she detected earlier.

For some reason, those who were corrupt in heart or weak in spirit slowly fell to their knees, weeping. The rest... awe. Seasoned officers and veterans who had slightly more presence of mind barked at their young male recruits to get back to training, doubling punishments for gawking too much. A few female officers remark at the lady's power of -distraction.-

Pandora had stood silently watching the female warrior enter. She herself had taken the form of a 'hunter' of shorts but her prey was not something that could be killed. A long red cape trailed behind her whipping in the wind like smoke. She wore grey armor filled with animate energy that settled to the surface of her "skin" that appeared like fabric. Her head was covered up by a hood and her mask hid her face (http://"http://summoners.shurelia.com/profiles/1062).
