For just normal solo queue play it has no place. Even in coordinated wombo combo play i.e clumping people together (Ori ult, Galio ult) it may have a place there. In general you don't get what you pay for. Zephyr would be a more worthwhile investment if you are that insistent of having lots of attack speed. Even that isn't all that great and doesn't deserve a spot in an AD's inventory.

Overall AD builds are just going to be the same --- with some extra late game items. Tier 3 boots, Mercurial Scimitar(Which you'll only be getting if you are horribly fed -- game goes on for a very long time). Outside of that, not much is different.

*Edit*

Sword of the Divine may work if you're snowballing and want to push the advantage further. If you've got a BF over your opponent and you come in with that, you'll crush them in a fight. If you are behind it won't make up for the disadvantage much.

Build it on Graves as your second big item.

Runaan's is targetted at characters who either have or build on-hit items.

So yes, not every AD carry is going to benefit from this. However Varus and Kog'maw most definitely can benefit from it (Varus benefits from it HUGELY, in fact), as they both scale well with ASPD and the multi-target blight quivers/%HP shred is awesome.

Dunno why people are trying to compare numbers though. Runaan's Hurricane was never added as an item to make an AD Carry's single target damage better - it's added to give you an ~option~. Build variability means multiple builds, some of which will be useful in different situations, not a different set of items you rush every game.

It's best on long range, auto attack based carries like Trist/Cait/Kog, but you can also put it on someone like Corki to make him an AoE damage monster.
It applies on hit effects, not next hit effects. Unless they changed it from when it was first revealed on the forums.

First, Hurricane does not proc Sheen. Nor any other on-next-hit effects, for the matter. EDIT: Zed'd.

No, it is not that good on Tristana nor on Cait (due to the fact that the extra shots can't crit and just scale with raw AD). And Tristana doesn't scale at all with just raw AD, like, at all.

Kog and Corki on the other hand...
Kog'Maw with Hurricane and an on-hit or AP/AS build should be able to just roll faces. Shredding your front line in a teamfight all at once.
Corki scales rather well with raw AD (dat passive), so he also has nice synergy with Hurricane. Also, Phage/Mallet Procs.

Other good users of Hurricane are guys like Varus (Blight Stacks), MF (Impure Shots Stacks), Twitch (Poison Stacks into a deadly Expunge) and, as much as I hate him, Teemo (dat poison).

This guy is right, Runaan's range for hitting more than one target is far too short to make it useful on even people like kog.
