Malady got a pretty cool change to make it scale a little better but it still isn't that slot effecient late game. A tweak to malady to make it a solid mid-late game item would be. Revert some of the changes that were given to malady.
25 AP
50% AS (45% on PBE now)
15 Magic damage on hit (15+10% of AP on PBE now)
UNIQUE Passive: Your basic attacks reduce enemy Magic Resistance by 4 for 8 seconds (effect stacks up to 7 times). (Unchanged from PBE now)
Cost 1825 total (2035 on PBE now)

This reverts Malady to nearly what is is on live but with 5 less magic damage and the MR shred having less per attack but more total when fully stacked. This slightly nerfs it's early gameness in exchange for being upgradable.
Malevolent blade
50 AP
50 AS
250 mana
20+(0.15) magic damage on hit
UNIQUE Passive: Spellcasts double this damage for 1 second (Guaranteed 1 attack) . 2 second internal CD
UNIQUE Passive: Your basic attacks reduce enemy Magic Resistance by 4 for 8 seconds (effect stacks up to 7 times).
Built from Malady and Sheen 1825+1260+ 200 recipe = 3285

The item would have the AP scaling auto attack which follows the theme of Sheen's bonus damage on auto attack which scales from the AP of Malady and Sheen and the AS on Malady. It has better scaling into late game and better self synergy allowing it to feel better on an end game build.

What I really hate about the new malady is that it's still ultra niche; I mean, really, who's going to use it? People who stack on-hit will dislike it even more now because it's 210 gold more expensive, gives 5% less AS, and deals 2.5 less damage on each hit (remember, the 25 AP gives you 2.5 damage on hit).

That said, your version is incredibly strange---you completely lose sheen's passive "on next auto-attack after spell cast bonus", and it makes it even less appealing to buy due to minor buffs in stats and the loss of semi-passive.

Current version just needs to be bufed, to be honest--while the goal is to make AS, in general, more expensive, what ADC or bruiser is seriously going to buy this item?

I say change it to what old malady was, reduce the on-hit damage to 17.5 and give it the new 0.1 AP->on hit passive.

That sheen passive is incorporated into every attack hence the AP scaling. You can't simply buff the current version due to it already being a strong item. It just falls off late game (Eg. Old brutalizer) With an upgrade for late game it lets you scale it into late game without breaking the item for the early game. With self synergy the damage per hit is 27.5 whereas the current PBE damage is 17.5 and now there's a sheen item for on hit builds just like on was made for tanks.

It's not great on very many champions, but for those who want it is very, very powerful.

For instance, try dealing with a Teemo that rushes Sorc Shoes, Malady, and Haunting Guise. You might be able to win by going all-in, but he will slowly harass you down to nothing if you're incapable of doing so, almost regardless of how much sustain you have.

Teemo will be nerfed in S3 with the new items he's seriously strong. Hurricane, Malady and Liandry's are a lot to do with this.

Have you ever seen malady on an AP skarner? What about a chogath? Diana? AP tristana? Believe it or not I find its usefulness even more enhanced by allowing the damage to proc even more based on ability power.

I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to say....It got buffed when It was given scaling? Yes after 50 AP it breaks even with the old damage but takes less to do more damage because the MR shred shreds more.
