Concept

A complete remake of Hara, the Beast of Fyrone (http://na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=2366002). Due to popular demand I scrapped the original template for Hara and began designing something more fitting to go with her lore and style. And thus I present to you the new and improved Hara…Elder Sage of Fyrone.

Fun Facts

Hara was originally going to be part of a list of ‘nameless champs’ drawn up for other people to take and use. I started drawing her and the whole champ exploded in my mind.
I die laughing every time I read the third joke.
Her passive is a reference to adapting, not what you put on steaks.
She is also the first champ I’ve created that doesn’t have any placeholder X’s! But she’s missing an item build…

Abilities

Fyrone Seasoning (Passive) -

Life has been tough for the minotaur of Fyrone but the time spent in the rough terrain has given Hara a new edge when it comes to resistance and growing in the situation. As the battle goes on her health, health regeneration and magic resist level with her.

Fyrone Wind -
Hara takes a bit of her new found home with her, sharing the harsh with winds with her enemies on the battlefield. Up to three cyclones can be placed, revealing enemies that go through them as well as damaging them for every second they stand inside. After two cyclones (three at level 5) are placed the next use is Dust Devil which has the cyclones move in unison to form together and shoot towards the target location, carrying an enemy champion with it and knocking other champions and units aside.

Horn of the Southern Wind -

Hara blows a horn that gives surrounding allies increased attack power, ability power, movement speed and health regeneration for a few seconds. On top of that enemy minions scatter in fear. With this horn in hand Hara also passively lowers the enemy’s magic resist by a small amount.

Quake -

Hara leaps to the target location doing initial impact damage and then additional damage for a few steps afterwards. While walking Hara is slowed while channeling the ability but the rumbling from her steps slows enemies around even more.

Rapid Growth -

Hara causes grass with thorns to rapidly grow in an area. Enemies inside disappear from their ally’s minimap, cannot see their allies and take damage the longer they remain inside of the vegetation. Hara’s allies can still see the enemies and receive a movement increase while inside the growth.

Lore

The Noxians would have you believe that Alistar’s race had been exterminated, leaving him as the sole survivor of an example the might of Noxus. He too believed his people were all but a memory now. That could be further from the truth as tucked away on edge of Fyrone rests a well established fortress made by the minotaur that once called the northern plains home.

When Alistar was lured from his village his mate sensed impending doom and thus led a mass exodus of her people out of the city, leaving only volunteers to keep the encroaching Noxians at bay. Escaping to the land they would call home, Hara led them to prosperity and growth in an unknown and harsh land. Some time passed while Hara grieved the loss of her mate. One day when meditating alone she saw a vision of Alistar fighting in a strange, unknown place. When scrying into the vision she found herself looking upon the citadel that was the Institute of War. Leaving leadership in the hands of her daughter and the tribal elder, Hara set out to show the world that not only do her people still exist but they now were capable of handling themselves both on foreign soil and on the Fields of Justice.

Champion Tips

Playing as Champion

When it comes to the fight in late game Hara falls more into the tanky support role. Be prepared to assist your team as needed and take advantage of this.
Coordinate with your team and use Rapid Growth as an excellent initiator. Together you might get one or two kills before the enemy team can escape.
Be cautious when using her Quake ability as she takes a movement penalty while it’s being channel.

Playing Against Champion

Be wary of bushes near Hara as they may contain a cyclone meant to warn her if someone is coming to gank.
When she uses Quake take advantage of her self-slow by flashing, dodging or launching yourself away from her.
When Rapid Growth pops up move out of it as quickly as possible or be lost to your allies.

Story

There have been many casualties over the last few decades. Though many are the results of war there are very few that could be considered genocide. As is the story behind Alistar’s people who many people believe to be the last of his kind. The Noxians would have all of Runeterra believe so but that is far from the truth.

It has been some time since Alistar was led astray from the village that he both commanded and protected, only to return to find only smoldering ruins and charred corpses. In a fit of rage the champion of the minotaur hurled himself at the invading Noxians, killing them by the hundreds before inevitably being captured. However, if he had investigated the village a little more he would have found himself following a completely different path.

What Alistar lacked in foresight and wisdom he made up for in strength and foresight. It was humorous to her that one such as him would ask to be bonded as mates. In truth, she had always been his better half. While he fought to protect the village and people from external threats, she was the brains that kept the infighting to a minimum between the different tribes within their borders. Through her diplomacy and level headedness she was able to form a bond that would unite her people behind her mate.

It was Hara’s quick wit and commanding presence that saved their people from total annihilation that night. It was a time of celebration between the recently united tribes and so all were present and rejoicing. In the middle of the festivities Hara noticed her mate was no longer present, leaving behind a creeping suspicion that something was amiss. The wind shifted bringing the wise woman a startling and unfamiliar scent. It was a stench that wreaked of metal, flesh and death.

Hara stood before her people who had never seen her such a state before. Though struggling to keep her mind clear, she urged them to pick up and begin moving out as quickly as possible for the wind had brought her dark tidings. So leaving only volunteers behind to hold the attackers at bay, the minotaur left in mass exodus. On her stand she left only one clue to be found by any survivors. It was rune etched into the wood with a simple meaning ‘South’.

It was on the edge of the untouched lands of Fyrone that they resettled. Hara proved herself to be a great wise woman and leader to a lost and broken people and under her guidance brought prosperity to near uninhabitable flatlands. Vegetation began appearing around the fortress they had raised providing them with fertile land and bounty. Here they thrived, left to be forgotten by the world save for the much needed merchants that had once traveled to their previous homes.

Many years passed by, their home was now a sprawling city that housed multiple tribes under one banner. Of course she still had to play the diplomat on occasion and, without Alistar, the enforcer on others. Today was like any other for her as she sat in the temple meditating. As usual her mate filled her thoughts, memories of them sitting in meditation together. Well, she had meditated while he just watched her. She smiled at the thought, missing those days.

At some point her meandering changed into something more. Her wayward mate filled her mind but in a scene she had never seen before. Alistar rushed reckless in an arena styled setting, fighting against opponents from all over Runeterra. She could feel his presence, she could feel that rage and hatred had consumed most of who he had been though what good was left battled the tyranny that had destroyed their home so long ago.

For the first time since they had arrived she knew that her mate lived on, accepting that he had been lost the night they had departed. With new found hope and proof that her grieving had been in vain, Hara gathered the elders of the different tribes. She announced that she was leaving for some time, leaving her child to lead in her place.

“The spirits have granted me a vision, one I must pay heed to,” she spoke before them. “To ensure that we remain safe I must journey to the Institute of War. It is there that we will find true safety. It is there that Alistar waits.”

With only a light survival kit on her back, Hara bid farewell to the city that she had raised from the ashes. She was given a hero’s departure, receiving blessings from the different tribes and gifts from those that had looked up to her. There was one last thing she needed to do for her people and she set off into the wasteland with them and her mate entrenched in her mind.

Overview of Abilities:

Unlike most caster sorts, Hara is meant to be able to take a hit or two or 6. So it’s essential that she has a lot to help her be able to do that. Her passive is the support needed to do just that. It’ll give her the fortification needed to not be bullied around (pun intended) if deciding she wants to be a bit aggressive. This will make her a good contender for solo top.

Her Q, Fyrone Wind, can serve multiple roles. If done right it can be used as an effective poke or a deterrent in making enemies not go a certain way or even as a soft CC when needed. But that’s not all it does! Of course it does its fair amount of damage but doesn’t show its true usefulness until level 5 in which the combined cyclones (if they connect) can pick up a target enemy and carry them toward or away from Hara and her allies. This would result in hitting Q, clicking to summon together and quickly hitting Q again in the desirable direction to turn it into a killshot.

Horn of the Southern Wind, W, would be her sustain and, well, the sustain for the team members close enough to be affected by it. A good use for this would be using W and then E to get double the effects and CC an enemy or group of enemies while doing a lot of damage just by walking around them. Another way would be setting up her cyclones, using W and then unleashing Dust Devil for increased damage. Of course, it can also be used as a chasing tool or retreat depending on the needs.

E is Quake which is her bread and butter. Use this to get a jump on an enemy then tear up the ground under them. All while just walking around like a boss. Not only does it do damage per step it also slows enemies as well. Combined with her W’s passive it does more damage just for doing so. There’s a few possible ways to use this. First is a gank tool used to jump out of bushes and step on people’s faces. Second, as a stall tactic while waiting for allies to come in or retreat. Third, just for fun. It damages minions as well and just curb stomping things is just fun.

R is Rapid Growth. Yes, yes, this would be right up Zyra’s alley, but bare with me. As a sage she does have control over plant life and such. This by itself is useful for ganking, initiating or generally annoying the enemy team. However, this plus W and then E is a scary combination. Timing Q perfectly would be essential to capitalizing on her damage out while the grass is up. This also has multiple uses similar to her E’s but more effective. It also allows her allies to easily single out enemy champions.

Hara, Sage of Fyrone (http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb448/C_Wulffe/HaraElderSageofFyrone.jpg) Her default skin.
Druidic Hara (http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb448/C_Wulffe/HaraDruidic.jpg) Her sporting the gear of a more earthen sort.
bearwalker Hara (http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb448/C_Wulffe/HaraBearwalker.jpg) Hara in a primal outfit. R would be tuned to autumn colors and her Q would be brownish.
Celestial Hara (http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb448/C_Wulffe/HaraCelestial.jpg) Think 'angelic' or 'stelar'. Q would be a black hole, W would be a winged horn, E would cause a small meteor strike, R would be a starfield.

Quote:
Skins:

Hara, Sage of Fyrone Her default skin.
Druidic Hara Her sporting the gear of a more earthen sort.
Bearwalker Hara Hara in a primal outfit. R would be tuned to autumn colors and her Q would be brownish.
Celestial Hara Think 'angelic' or 'stelar'. Q would be a black hole, W would be a winged horn, E would cause a small meteor strike, R would be a starfield.

bolded stuff you may want to review, bolded commas are commas i added, when i read over I bolded anything that didn't read right to me. Overall excellently done my only concern is her R with allies and whether or not it traps allies because tooltip reads allies "caught"

They didn't read right because they were not typed right. As that old saying goes, haste makes waste and that's exactly what happened here. Thanks for pointing that out! It's all fixed now.

I also removed the 'caught' from R's tooltip. Allies are not trapped inside.

Wow. This is really a solid idea. The abilities are interesting, everything seems balanced and you've given her a backstory to boot. Kudos. Also, if you find the time, could you please look at my concept and tell me what you think?

quite good skill concept.
The bad point is I can't find any form of combos.
All of the abilities are solo use.
Maybe you can change something so they can work together?
Or you just told me?(If you originally have some combos...)

I'll give your champ a look over here in a bit, Void. :]

ZALAR, the possible combos are mentioned in the ability overview. Though primarily solo use they can be used in sync together to deliver more devastating effects. I.e. Setting up her Q, using W, then E and then unleashing Q's build up. That would give her a lot of burst damage though puts her abilities on cooldown. Otherwise using W before doing anything would boost her and her allies damage. There's also a number of ways to sync together the cyclones from her Q to her rampaging with E. Q, Q, E could set up a small area that could potentially push enemies into a CC corner and the likes.
