Season 3 jungle thoughts.

Making all those changes balance team revealed that one of the priority durign the season 3 jungle change was that junglers won't have that much early pressure right?

Therefore they made that item which jungling without is a lot harderd AND doesnt give jungler any ganking advantages.
Additionally they made camps harder and giving less gold with a promise of "ambient gold" making up the differance.
And heres the thing, if a jungler gets a gold anyway why not just get red, boots/sword and camp the top lane while other jungler is struggling and when he comes for counter gank he probably will be low health and with that silly matchete even with level advantage he will be weaker. Its a win situation even if an early aggresive jungler wont get a kill, because he will zone other top laner from exp/farm.
I'm not saing its "ultimate"win strategy" but ambient gold rise will make it less painfull if the aggressive jungler will fail. Therefore it might not work as Riot wanted.
I was just thinking,if Riot really want junglers be kept in jungle for early levels... why not give them initial clear gold bonuses? (lets say every camp give some gold bonus before 4th minute mark) isn't this "healthier" way to reach their goal? Instead of trying to make things harder for junglers? Then junglers would actually have a choice between being agressive and farming. What do you think guys?

giving bonus gold for the first 4 minutes instead of making it harder is a horrifyingly bad idea
have you met shyv and mundo?

the whole reason for this is to reduce the total number of junglers
granted the machette isnt the greatest of solutions to keeping it above 4 capable junglers, its a start
a better option would have been an extra option in a mastery tree IMO
