So, why are we buffing AD carries again?

Everything is getting nerfed, but AD carry items are not nearly as affected by this.

Free perma ghost on carries, BT loses a WHOLE 2% LIFESTEAL OMG (/sarcasm) but has its base damage increased and the number of stacks decreased (that's actually a buff along with the nerf), IE loses 10 AD (lol, really? THAT'S how they nerf IE?)... Ok, fine they get some, they lose some, that's how it works for EVERYBODY...

But then : Randuin's Omen loses it's active attack speed debuff AND the passive debuff is getting nerfed. This is a HUGE buff to AD carries. This really worries me because that's a BIG element of counter-play that's getting gutted. In fact, I don't understand why FH (that has a passive aura) is left untouched and Randuin's ACTIVE is getting removed. I thought we wanted to move away from passive effects?

Ability power champions and ranged attack damage carries have a lot to look forward to with the coming changes. Everyone else basically got shafted (overall).

As long as FH passive aura is not touched, I don't give a **** about Randuin's. Lost interest in Randuin's as soon as it's CDR got nerfed to mere 5%.

They made warden Mail significantly stronger for AS reduction but by removing its movespeed it makes it sub-optimal for properly countering some carries.

Having randuin's/wardens go off every attack, guaranteed, is sorta a big deal.

Plus, y'know, AP carries are getting all kinds of fun items to **** you over with.

Cost of AS is apparently going up as well - which de-values raw AD/lifesteal somewhat.

Burst AP has been buffed heavily
Tanky AP has been buffed
Support have been buffed

IE and BT got slight nerfs (10 damage is pretty hefty off a main damage item), as well as BT cost increase. PD got nerfed (less attack speed and movespeed) damage-wise, but got the pathing ignore boost. Your traditional AD carry build IS considerably weaker, when two parts of your multiplicative damage trinity (crit strike, attack speed, damage) are nerfed slightly, it has a relatively big overall effect.

The only upside for ADC's is that armour has got more expensive per point (though there's more AP armour items now), and the penetration/reduction switcharoo if an ally gets black cleaver.

incorrect..

warden's mail now always slows attack speed [but not movespeed] instead of 20%
randuins does the same but slows move speed as well
