The oldest thing I can think of...?
There was an item called Sword of the Divine that was kind of like the Phantom Dancer item, but instead of crits and movement speed it gave Dodge chance along with AS. Sadly I was a noob when this item was taken away so I can't give great detail on it before looking stuff up on the Wiki.

At level 18, with full CDR, and with sunfire cape and innervating locket as his only health/defensive items, gragas could outregen the fountain laser.

Matchmaking was there, but it was slow. Matchmaking could take up to 5-10 minutes for mid-elo. High elo (1500+) had 30+ minutes queues, and everyone complained.

There was no ranked mode. Normal mode had elo (and still does I believe), and you could only find out when Riot datamined and posted the top 200 or w/e it was.


Heimerdinger could double-shoot his rockets via a bug. Heimer was banned in high elo in every game until it was fixed.


Annie could charge up max stacks of her passive using W while she had the stun proc from her passive available (the stun proc buff could be maintained while building the "stacking" part of the passive). This means she could use 2 AOE stuns back to back.

Annie. Every. Game.


Speaking of which,

God-tier TF + Annie + Twitch + Kayle.

Every. Single. Game.

-Ryze's Spellflux used to be his ultimate, Desperate Power his passive, and he had an ability that boost his attack damage.
-Tristana could attack outside of turret range at 18.
-Exhaust used to be a 100% blind.
-5 minute Promote siege strategy.
-Alistar's passive caused him to deal bonus damage against turrets.
-Tryndamere's old Bloodlust ability stacked only when you killed an enemy.
-Guardian Angel Shaco Clone
-Tristana's Explosive Shot used to have only the passive component.

Wow, I had completely forgotten how the old client U.I. looked. Been playing from just before Garen and the ninjas, onward.

Hmm, old refer-a-friend rewards program offered a chance to help "design a champion" at riot after some excessive amount of referrals.
