lee sin is strong and so versatile that he is also being run at midlane
i'm not gonna be surprised when i see support lee sins around later on :|

My friend actually plays support lee sin a good bit in Normals.

And I feel like the biggest reason Lee Top isn't played very much is simply because he falls off lategame and most top laners want a champ that can carry. Unless Lee shuts down his opponent hard, the other top laner will be more useful in teamfights. It's easier for Lee to shut down mid laners simply because they won't be nearly as tanky as bruisers.

you don't see many lee sin top because 90% of the people who play lee sin cant land their Q when the target is moving and behind minions

Sometimes I have that problem, but often times I lead with it after hitting E and fighting my opponent through it, then when they try running or during the fight I use Q.

Lee is extremely versatile, but the nerfs and the amount of people who ACTUALLY KNOW how to play him are enough to make GD shut up and not baa all day. Maybe once in 20 lee games have I seen a decent one that knows how to play him to full potential and just dominate.
