### Math Question?

No actual math involved but I'm just wondering..

Why do we naturally count from 1 to 10?
Why do we only have ten digits? 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9

I can understand 0 and 1. 0 meaning nothing and 1 meaning something. Then we start adding, or doubling and other stuff to get other numbers but why is it that we only have 10 digits? Why don't we have 11 digits, or 20, or one thousand? Is it because it is too much to count? Do we stop at 10 digits just to make counting and math as a whole, easier?

If you don't use the math system then you aren't doing math. It's a predetermined system so everyone is on the same page.

Because of the muslims.

The Chinese, Mayans, and Mesopotamians used counting systems of 12 and 60. Base 10 was a relatively new invention by towelheads.

We do have ten digits... 0-9 is ten digits.

Base 10 seems a lot easier to use than other systems
