I've recently had a rather nice W/L ratio and was curious as to how normal elo works. Obviously winning more than loosing tends to raise elo but my question is does it work in a manner that if i'm winning on a regular basis it boosts my elo and matches me against higher elo players which in return would give more elo for a win?

Basically say i'm 1200 elo and win 5 games in a row and my elo is now 1270 do i get matched around 1270 or since I have consecutive wins do i get matched higher elo opponents which assuming i win give me a larger amount of elo than a normal win.

Winning multiple game in a row wont match you with higher elo, it doesnt give you a larger amount of elo.
