Barrier would like a word with you.

Flash, unlike barrier, can be used offensively for some amazing plays... can't say the same about barrier.

Free get out of jail card is free. #1 riot balance can't wait for season THREEEE! Get ready for some super passive lanes lol.

Edit: Downvote away, I'll bump this by the time you're whining about barrier.

B) it can be used offensively, extra health when ganking or tower diving is very useful

you act like it works like morgs shield... cc them and kill them... the problem with flash is it can move you out of harms way and dodge skill shots that you otherwise should have been hit with if you suffer from bad positioning.

While it's true that it can be used offensively, it's still technically a defensive use. You go in knowing you have it up, then use it to counter retaliation thus still a defensive use.

Flash is used to make or setup plays, and when doing this it does not save you from anything it often puts you in more danger.

And while Razy just makes terrible threads in general, he has a point that anyone complaining about flash should be complaining even more about barrier.

All summoner spells are unneeded and don't present anything to the game.

The ONLY summoner spells which affect this game in a positive way are clarity and smite.

Smite allows more people to jungle.

Clarity allows more lane harassment and longer laning times.

Ignite, Surge, Promote, Heal, Clairvoyance, Barrier, Ghost and Flash provide nothing to this game. All they do is force the losing team to burn the spells just to survive while the winning teams are able to use them for free kills or free mistakes.

The biggest get out of fail free card are wards.

They prevent you from getting into fails in the first place. And unlike any ability or summoner spell, they can have a 100% uptime. And they are taking even less skill most of the time, as there is no noteworthy timing involved (Unless you use Shunpo/Leapstrike etc).

Noone complains.
Why? Because you don't feel it that way.
Someone blinking away from your awesome gank? FUUUUUU!!!
Someone casually walking away while you're running to their lane? Oh well...probby saw me.

Come back one minute later: Flash down, gank successful. Ward still up.

It's really all a matter of what feels bad and what doesn't.
