Something I think that LoL has been getting worse at is casting voice actresses for female champions. Some of the original female champions have very diverse voices, e.g. Kayle, Nidalee, Anivia, Soraka, etc.

Lately, it's been the same woman over and over again. You know, the one who did Cassiopeia, Shyvana, Diana, Elise, etc. that same sultry voice that is actually incredibly cheesy. It's pretty sad that everyone knew how Elise was going to sound before her voice was even released. That says something. Even the females with a different voice actress still use that sultry accent, recently. Voice acting is an important part of video games and giving every female a cookie cutter talking style does not reveal anything about the character. Arguably, Syndra doesn't fall into this trope, but it's probably because that same voice actress couldn't pull off "power hungry female", so she wasn't used.

There are so many talented voice actresses out there. While the males have a huge variety from Adam Harrington to the guy who does DRAAAVEN and then various anime VAs like Steve Blum, lately, the female voice actress roster seems rather slim. Jennifer Hale, Grey DeLisle, Tara Strong are all outstanding voice actresses.

I agree. They all sound very similar, with just slightly different buffers on their voices. Mostly because they keep going for 'dark' themed champions, though.
