Login failed for an unknown reason.

After reinstalling.
After repairing the client.
Twice.

I am unable to play league of Legends, me and a handful of others who posted on the support section.

I haven't seen Riot respond to this matter.

A week later (Today) I see new champ revealed, I try to login.

Login failed for an unknown reason.

Am I not allowed to play?

Please help me out here Riot, you won't respond in the support section and I really wish to keep playing League.

I will keep bumping this in the dim hopes of a miracle.

Hey Wise Squirrel (awesome name btw!)

Thank you for bringing this issue to the Help and Support Forum! Not being able to log in when you are absolutely itching to play can cause incredible frustration. Because of this, let's try to resolve this issue as quickly as possible!

After further review of the information you provided, this may be an issue of not being able to log in may be related to your computer's ability to accept the security certificates from our login server. Our Client relies on Internet Explorer for a great deal of information, regardless of your default Browser (as i know the vast majority of our users may prefer Chrome or Firefox), so be sure to make all suggested changes in Internet Explorer. Make sure to try these steps:

1) Make sure your windows clock is synced:

2) Make sure your Internet Explorer Options are properly configured (Updating to IE9 and running the Microsoft fixit file are the most common fixes from that guide):

3) Turn off Certificates in IE, IE Options > Advanced > Restore Advanced Settings, IE Options > Advanced > Uncheck "Check for server certificate authentication"
If you have a more updated version of Internet Explorer you may have to uncheck these settings instead:
"Check for server certificate revocation"
"Check for publisher's certificate revocation"
"Warn about certificate address mismatch"

Yet, if you have completed all of these different steps, and you are still being completely blocked from playing due to this error message, then please do not hesitate to let us know by creating a new Support Ticket* so we may work with you one-on-one until arriving at a Full Resolution! If you do submit us a new ticket, make sure you provide the following information so we may review this issue further:

I can play League now, thanks for helping me out.

K. So, I ahve the problem as well, and the IE options fix do NOTHING (Why do you use that POS btw?)

I'm also very wary of anything Microsoft provides to fix a issue. Last time I used a troubleshooting tool their provided, I had to reformat a hard drive.

every time i login with my correct password and username it won't let me login at always say login error but when i login to the website it works i can login i need help please T_T

hi guys i have a problem with my user i cannot do anything and i see sth like this first time in 4 years of playing ... it seems like someone else is playing and i cant reconnect but noone is... noone could play a game more than 6 hours and the same game especially plz contact me if you know what's going on

i'm using a mac it didn't work for me.
