As all heads turn to the shadow isles and its shadowy residents during this harrowing season, the darkness of all the other shadowy places of Valoran seem less foreboding. In the petrified forests of the Voodoo Lands, a somber but not lifeless amber bleeds over the sky. The dim light glows against the trees, hiding their texture and detail, making them look like vertical brushstrokes blacker than night. Everywhere, a stillness lurks that marks pure madness. While the Shadow Isles and the Howling Marsh exhibit the aspects of death, the petrified forests of the Voodoo Lands showcase a metaphor for what is left behind. A body without its soul.

It is here that the Grey Order, a society of Noxian outcasts, live and thrive in their colorful caravan of wagons and tents. The ground is dusty but pleasantly level. While the road to their settlement is winding and horribly confusing to navigate, the most experienced traders and magicians know that the best of the best live and work here. A path to the settlement has just been secured, and already the forest clearing in which the Grey Order calls home is swelling with visitors.

They come to trade magical artifacts and knowledge, to assist the order in any way they can, some even to arrange a permanent residence. Noxus has no shortage of political dissidents in its population.

This is the birthplace of Annie Hastur, daughter of Gregori and Amoline Hastur. As undoubtedly the most powerful magic users of the Grey Order, the Hasturs lead the colony with kind hearts and selfless spirits in no small defiance of their surroundings. Thanks to Annie's success as a League Champion, the Order's relationship with Noxus has been more amiable than before. Even still in the midst of the forest's frozen terror and ever lurking dangers, things are looking up.

The Caravan

A clearing in the forest stamped flat by countless wagons and traders arranged along the sides of a road. Beyond this oasis of life in the Voodoo wilderness no average person dare goes. At the end is a modest looking tent where the Hasturs reside.

The Road

Beyond the caravan is a single path which winds and swerves between the petrified trees of the Voodoo lands. Life is scarce and fleeting, as what truly thrives here are horrific monsters of the arcane. A majority of legends and cautionary tales that circulate around Valoran originate here. The most popular creature among them is a ruthless and terrifying being known in many tongues as The Slender Man.

The Hunt for The Slender Man!

Want to try your hand at meeting the rockstar of spooks? Head out with a hunting party today and see for yourself why nobody jokes around skinny people with sharp suits! Test your luck! Find a couple friends and head out from the Grey Order Caravan!
((Note: I will not roleplay The Slender Man nor organize any effort to find him. This tertiary objective should be player motivated and is meant to instill a bit of horror as per the season. First and foremost, this thread is for open roleplay.))

((My friend has a Slenderman character we could actually use... *poof*

Just use him or no? He'd more than up to the task I know it.))

((Slenderman's character is already so well known and at the same time so abstract, there is no need for a profile. Technically he is a force of nature. The absolute fear he bears is different for every character, and should be given to us by the RPer as they see it. As such, I strongly discourage one person trying to roleplay as Slenderman.))
