There's really no winner in that scenario, as there are two maps to support, two metas to maintain, and overall a really small delta between the two.

Um, the winners are the players, who can play whichever map they please.

Also, don't give us this, "There aren't enough players for two maps." BS. This game has millions of players, and you're telling me it can't support another map? Sooo...you can never make another 3v3 map ever? Dominion is 5v5, and so is Summoners Rift, yet both maps get played all the time.Your reasons make no sense, and I've seen the demise of many an online game, and it typically starts when the devs stop being responsive to the player base. This petition has thousands of signatures and your answer is, "We're not going to let you have it, because."

This is a pretty big slap in the face to your long time players who have been playing TT religiously for years, and Shadow Isles is not Twisted Treeline, they're not even close.

I'm curious to see the changes coming in the preseason, but this is a very big red mark against the devs as far as I'm concerned. If the preseason changes are bad, I'm done with this game, because your basic reasoning is pretty bad.

Let's be clear though, this is still Twisted Treeline. It is a bit different and sometimes change can be a little disruptive, but when we took a look at what we had on our hands after thousands of playtests, we wanted to release the new TT to you and get feedback as part of our Beta process. That's still ongoing, and we're going to continue to listen to your feedback and make changes going forward, ensuring that TT has the support it deserves.

This is NOT Twisted Treeline. It is the Shadow Isles. The only thing the two have in common is, as said in this thread before, two lanes and three players. The feel is almost exactly the same as dominion (And I don't know about everyone else, but everyone I know never plays it). The two maps, dominion and SI, are the type of game people play, fool around and never take seriously or try at all to win. Dominion is a bit better as teams can come back after they have been shut down most of the time. You have said you've tried to make all champions viable on this map? That's impossible, as SI encourages teams to run around ganking and capping, never farming, which is required for many champions. There is no strategy tied to this new map, just an all-out brawl where the best bruiser team level one wins, hands down.

As for the fate of old TT, right now we have no plans to add it back into custom games. we wanted to make sure that we don't split the focus of our players for each game type. For the same reason we probably won't ever create a 5v5 map that's really similar to Summoner's Rift, we didn't want to split the TT community between two maps. There's really no winner in that scenario, as there are two maps to support, two metas to maintain, and overall a really small delta between the two. We'd rather have you and our teams focused on one, working together to make it great as opposed to two, having neither of them living up to their full potential. If competitive TT is also going to take off, having two maps, even in custom games, is detrimental.

I have several friends who I regularly played with - almost always treeline unless we could all get on at the same time. Since the new TT our play has dropped off significantly and when we do play it's only SR. I appreciate your desire to "not split" the community in order to have a focused experience, but the net result, in my estimation anyway, will just be a shrinking of the TT community. You can espouse all you want that you've "remedied" the issues with treeline in response to fans, but I don't believe you can debate that you've fundamentally changed the play style and that's where the furor exists. I know that my small group of friends in no way represents the enormity of the LoL community, but I have to believe that there are numerous others in the same boat...For what it's worth those are my 2 cents...

Signed. I loved LoL because of Twisted Treeline, without it I don't even want to play anymore. The new map is interesting, I can't deny that, but the strategies and well thought playstyles of the old one are lost, and were replaced with no-thought-at-all fights with OP champs all over the place.

And so we couldnt wait to fully replace the old map until the season was over? They couldn't have coexisted until our rush to get the best scores we could on ranked play was done?

^ I'm not a TT player, but this is a very good point in my opinion.

I suggest you try draft queue for dominion. The wait is over 20 minutes last time I checked. Do you call that a large player base?

If you had presented the new map, without taking away the old one, almost every 3v3 player would have tried it out and given advice on how to make it better. Then you also wouldn't have made people angry by taking away something they loved.

I think the new map looks nice and can appreciate the effort that went into making it. It shows you had the best intentions. However I am too angry about not being able to play the old tt anymore, leaving me unable to be happy about and wanting to play the new one.

I'll resign after riot post...

I refuse to play 3v3's.....I used to main Twisted Treeline, now I play 5v5s because they are the closest I've had to what 3v3 was......I wont play Twisted Treeline till I have my old map back.....There is how you alienate a community.........

No, it isn't. This isn't twisted, nor is it a treeline.

I don't want the fast-paced high-action MUST FIGHT EVERY TIME WE SPAWN feeling. That's what Dominion is for. That's what Proving Grounds is for. That's what FPS games are for. They're quite good at it.
Now our only option for a game that doesn't involve a fight within 10 seconds of spawning is Summoner's Rift. Why don't you enable both maps for a while, and let PLAYERS choose which one is more popular? If I'm wrong, so be it, but why don't you let the players decide instead of forcing this down our throats?

This right here is a great idea let the players pick
