I'm not 100% sure this is the right forum (I looked through them and thought this was the best suiting. Please move it if I'm incorrect.), but, what if Riot implemented a text key bindings to say things in chat. Like MIA, or buff, etc. Yes, there are pings, but the issue is, people don't respond the pings the same way. I've been in a lot of games where I yellow ping, and when my ally gets ganked and dies to my lane before I get there to intervene, they blame me for not calling the MIA. Also for other things, like a simple "yes" or "no," for example if someone uses their "Let's get Baron!" key binding, other teammates can hit a single button that says, "No."
My idea is that players would be able to set these bindings to their wish. This brings up another issue. Spam. People spam anyways, regardless. Spamming could be added to the drop-down in the report menu. And there's always the in-game mute button for that. All I'm saying is that this would be an extremely useful tool for the game. Great in the middle of a fight as well, so you can explain a brief and common idea rather than ping nine times.
